The best thing for you to do is read the reviews on the website. There are six people who have bought and are using that machine, so you can't get any better opinions than those.
Been Retired since June 30th. I'm busy, but not rushed; and I don't have to worry about numbers with zeros after the decimal point, such as +/- .0005!
Congratulations to "Finally Retired"; me too! After 54 years as a machinist/CNC programmer I can sleep in.
My online hobby is the Machinist's Calculator (http://www.machinist-calculator.com).
It's...
Doesn't the machine manual have a communications section explaining how to set parameters, cable, etc?
Yep. Get high-helix, sometimes called "Streaker".
That should be "flood or mist"
You have too many flutes. As well as floog or mist coolant, aluminum needs as much room as possible to evacuate. I suggest no more than three flutes.

Well, ain't that great!
I actually prefer Mastercam. Trouble is, I can't afford it for my consulting business.
I'm gradually getting familiar with Bobcad-cam, but I think retracting to move back to...
When I am cutting a 2d profile with two or more cuts, I would like to know how to get the tool to retract clear of Z-zero, rapid back to the start, feed down, and do the subsequent cut(s).
At the...
Hello,
My company produces a text editor with DNC for CNC controls. I have been asked for help in connecting an SCM Record1 with NUM 720 controller to a PC.
I cannot find any communication...
I'm not sure why you don't want flood coolant, it's the best way to get good finishes on aluminum. If it's the mess, or your machine doesn't have a coolant pump, perhaps you can try mist coolant....
Feed rate and depth of cut depend on so may variables that a rule of thumb must be VERY general.
A generic, good quality endmill in mild steel would cut half its diameter deep at about .002" per...
The starting speed and feed 1/4" drill into 1018 steel should be 1528 RPM @ 10 ipm.
The rigidity of your setup and of the machine can affect these figures, so I'm assuming that rigidity is good....
Just released: Machinist's Calculator version 6 for PCs, laptops and netbooks running Windows OS.
Machinist Calculator has been developed to quickly solve common machine shop math problems such as...
Try ConnectCNC from http://www.connectcnc-dnc.com/index.html.
Solve common machine shop and other trades math problems such as trigonometry, speeds and feeds and bolt circles. Also contains tap drill charts, metric conversions, thread measuring information and...
Aksess,
I'm sorry about your wife, I hope everything turns out well.
However, I'm a bit mystified about your post...what trash talk?
Drip feed ability is an optional extra on some CNC controls.
If your machine has that option, you can use the software from http://www.connectcnc-dnc.com/index.html
Hi. I've just finished my 50th year as a machinist last September. Things sure have changed! I started CNC programming and machining in 1977, and still doing it. I'm starting to reduce my hours at my...
Can anyone help me set up the control and filr transfer software?
Things such as baudrate, parity, handshaking, etc. Also parameter settings on the control.
Thanks,
Harry
I started my apprenticeship as a fitter and turner in 1957, and have never regretted my Dad's (!) choice. Started CNC programming on a Bandit controlled Excello milling machine in 1977. I've been...
Can anyone help with cable pinouts and port configurations for DNC on a Mitsubishi Meldas 520-A control ?
