Gus has it ....remove the bolts that hold the plate. Install same bolts into the alternate threaded holes and use them to JACK the top plate up and off.......do it evenly.

When you say the motor was "stuck"....was this while the power was on ? If so, the control on this unit will be sending signal to the motor to HOLD it in position. this may fool you into thinking it...

Update re X-axis cogged belt. I have recieved the belt..Part# 11750057. It is a good fit. Bpt # was 21577994. Also a 720-8m-20 is a correct fit. Looks as though any of these numbers are a good...
