I have a couple extras as well.
That is certainly to bad, When looking back it seems like a great way get a controller on Ethernet.
What ever happened to the Grex line of controller interfaces?
Well your price is probably a bit shy for a machine that must hold tenths. I suspect your therory is A-OK, it sounds like you know what you need. As long as you can determine what the kerf size is...
Mach3 for machine control, hands down the best stuff out there for the money.
You are probably correct, most of the BE is bound in chip and very little would get free in a lathe operation. However one should be aware of the potenial hazard thay any BE exposure does have,...

Looks like nasty stuff to me
It should be possible, what you want is a post lower with a stripper plate and a round upper that has a floating plunger that bottoms out which contains you embossing. I assume you are doing this in...
I machined a bunch of this about 25 years ago for use in a special electron beam coating machines where the electical properties were needed. We used carbide tooling on it mostly with good success,...
The ISOcyanate based paints are getting tough for the average guy to get. I suspect Dupont Imron and the like Ditzler products can only be obtained with a hazardous materials license. They do wear...
Best bait, Cheddar Cheese covered in peanut butter.
PS. Yer a nutter for sure! :D
I am real interested in where you get the cast iron for the table.
I have both a tumbler and a Vibratory unit for polishing brass. The tumbler is slower but make lots less noise and does a better job I think than the damn shaking vibrator.

I actaully have a 6X18 surface grinder. Hmmm interesting thought there.
yep waiting on one of the long X-axis as well.
This brings up and interesting point, It is very conceviable to just buy the X and Y axis kits from LMS and build a Z axis up that is designed with...
On hold till tomorrow, MAMA requires the outdoor Chistmas light be put up first, then I have a small job waiting to be done on the Taig. then I can get back to the goodies,
Camera charging now....
To bad you don't have Taig, Sherline, and MaxNC in there as well.
Looks like the box from Little machine shop just arrived, not opened it yet but it should include mt2 collets and my Yaxis extend kit.
Yep sounds like you are missing steps, at least in one direction. This can be caused by several things:
1) As the machine got older it took more force to move the axis, now the steppers installed...
looks ok from here
Just the extended Y no tilt. Not real enamoured with the tilt capability.
Probably the center hole and main outer contour and diameter would done a CNC lathe and the subsequent stud locations and lightening would be done in a second operation on a Vertical Milling Center....
Well LittleMachineShop.com has the Y axis kit and I have ordered that and some tooling for the mill. The long X axis is listed but still unavailable but I am on the notify list.
At least with the...
