Nema34 5Nm closed loop
My build is going on... I've almost finished the Z Axis.
I followed the advice of @peteeng about plywood + alu sheets. I didn't any affordable 2 mm alu sheets near my home, so I chose 0.8mm steel...
in parallel of the machine design itself, I'm also diving into the control box design.
I'm planning to use shielded cable either inside the control box. To wire the stepper driver to the control...
Here is the same but in 400hz version :...
As I said, the first version will be made out of plywood, and then, machining myself aluminium parts. I will probably use your approach (ply + al) for this first version
I'm not especially ocnerned about squareness of the end except for the gantry side.
The post is screw on the sliding plate, then the 90° angled bracket are also screwed. and finally, the side...
I saw that too, i didn't know about it. Just need to know where to buy it here in Belgium
You mean replacing the gantry verttical posts by larger Aluminium side plates (to link directly the gantry horizontal beam to the sliding piece) ?
Actually, I've thought about that .... there are here and there some "spacers" and I would use the wasted material to machine these little pieces
But you were right guys, this version bracket is...
Here are some renders on the updated design, taking in account your feedbacks
Thanks guys
I also think about adjustements
For Spindle trimming, i though putting a small adjustement scew on a side of the spindle bracket, having one bracket fixation hole quite fit as pivot point, and the...
I guess something like that should be better :
- the arm tight to the ball screw nut is shorter and stronger with a triangle shape : I keep two small aera parallel to the nut: i will use them as...
Thanks for the feedback. It is probably better to switch motor/ball screw and the drag chain. I will update the design to put the motor/ball screw on top of the gantry beam, and let the drag chain on...
I'm afraid I'm not... I've just started to discover and learn the CAM side... I foreseen a lot of failed parts and broken bits
For the weight, the floor is not a big deal. But I'm a bit concern...
Hi,
I share with you my design of a CNC router. Quite classical, I tried to optimize the ratio working area vs footprint.
Characterictics and Specs:
- main purpose is woodworking, plastic and...
Actually, the drivers are rated to 100VDC ... but it is quite hard to find such power supply
In the scope of this discussion, I've a serious dilema :
I'm building a Router CNC, and planned to buy 4 NEMA34 closed loop steppers ... I targetted this model :...
