Is there a way to array with bc 20?
Thanks,
Doug
What was it drawn in? Flow, autocad, bobcad etc.
And what is it doing that it's not pathing well?
Doug
What doesn't work that well for you?
Doug
Hi Dennis,
I talked to you a while back. Your saw looks great. I'm finally getting started on mine. Any chance I could swing by and check your saw out?
Thanks,
Doug
You can do both just depends on what result you want. Try recutting that piece clamped down solid to the table and then compare the two. It's an easy way to find out what your problem is.

Looks like the part might be moving on you while your cutting.

I don't know where this should be posted but do any of you visit this forum called Eng-Tips? I can't register for it. It says my email is already taken but it won't send me the info. Anyone else have...
Hi Chris,
I don't have any but can get some. His side rails were like 3' long which I thought would be plenty to eliminate any racking. I was planning on having my rails around 3' also. The only...
I was wondering if there is a formula or something else to eliminate any racking in building a machine with 2 rails and a 14' long bridge on top of them. I was planning on having the y axis manual...
That 5 axis head is awsome. Bet it's pricey. Does anyone know of one that isn't for machining, such as a plasma?

Doug
I didn't mean to start such a big thread but it is very interesting. The I beam with plates welded on both sides would be pretty strong, but that is a lot of welding and also a good chance of severe...
My apologies for the inconvenience. I started out thinking about this topic as a general one covering rails, bridges, and base for the rails. I think all of the answers apply but they get more...
My thinking was that an I beam has 1 web and the rectangle tubing has 2-one on each side. So the tubing would be stronger. This application is for the rail/beam on a bridge saw. Approx. 14' long....
I was wondering what is the best material to use for a beam in the horizontal position, supported at both ends. Deflection wise is an i beam stronger than heavy wall square or rectangle tubing? I'm...
Hi Mike,
No, my customer had it drawn in corel. Bc doesn't have much of a font selection. Thanks for responding.
Regards,
Doug
I'm kinda new at this and have a question with v16 and v20. How do you import a text file from corel into BC without the letters having all the flat spots around the arcs? It is very timeconsuming to...
How does everyone check the accuracy of their linear rails and such on big machines? I built a bridgesaw that has 12' rails and would like to check how straight they are and parallel.
Thanks,
Doug
