That escalated quickly!! Enjoy the new machine.
Thanks for the follow up and glad it turned out to be something simple.
Resolution follow up.
The problem ended up to be the cooling fans of the CPU unit. During my initial evaluation of the fans, I mistakenly said that the cooling fans were simple 2 wire fans. They...
Those were my thought as well which is why I haven't addressed the spindle motor fan yet.
I did remove and clean the 2 fans for the CPU unit. Both were running, but had a lot of grime on them as...
I checked already and no fans. Thanks for the suggestion though, still searching.
Do you know if the spindle motor fan is monitored for speed? It appears to be turning fine, but it is heavily...
Machineit, PM sent.
Glad you got it sorted out! Strange why the erase all still would not work. Did you have the 9000 series unlocked (visible in list programs) when attempting to erase all?
Also, I am not sure...
Pretty sure it's just a corrupted program. You will need to make sure setting 23 O9xxx lock is off.
Then delete all programs as you mentioned then reload.
Good luck!
I have a Matsuura MC510VG witha Yasnac J300M control which is giving me a "1098 Fan Alarm of CNC Unit" message.
Can anyone shed some light on what fan this alarm is referencing? The only thing I...
Before jogging the Z-Axis in recovery, the machine wants the drawbar to be unclamped. Then you can jog Z-Axis using the commands in recovery; it moves very slow though. When pressing unclamp in...
I am curious also.
This manual should help you out better.
Good luck!
Depending on your timeline, you could always check with a local company that specializes in repairing electric motors. I have done this with several projects with great success.
I guess it took someone to post what was in front of my face the whole time in order for me to see it. Now that I have read instead of glossed over everything, it clearly states that 6753 unit of...
To start off with, I know that the timers accessed within the control are re settable and do not necessarily represent actual total machine use time. For my question, lets presume that the timers do...
Since the machine is under warranty, resist any urge to "fix" anything to prevent the dealer from accusing you of damaging something or making things worse. This goes for any kind of trouble that...
I am not really hearing a grinding sound, but I hear a sound similar to when the exhaust for the tool release solenoid has been removed.
I would suggest removing the head covers to get a better...
Agreed, you will want to remove the original board mounted battery.
.
I am sure changing the garage door will cost more compared to tearing down the machine and re-assembling, but I agree that this is definitely worth considering especially when factoring in the...
No I would not recommend removing the column.
Remove head covers, disconnect the gore tube (Flexible cable carrier), depressurize and disconnect nitrogen counterbalance cylinder ( if equipped). ...
Yep, I would almost bet money that is your issue then. Those encoders definitely have some sensitive components.
Sorry you had to learn the hard way.
I have disconnected the encoder cable countless times just as you have described and have never fried it; but never say never. That said however, I have heard of the encoder getting damaged when...
A ball bar test covers many different test cycles, so this is a pretty vague comment. If you proceed, and do so with caution, ask for the full ball bar analysis and when it was done.
Just for...
It sounds like there is much more going on with this machine than just a simple encoder belt replacement. Was this machine running prior to changing the encoder belt? If not, then you need to...
FYI - there are archived manuals available, but they skip a few of the early years; they have 93,95, then 2000 on up. https://diy.haascnc.com/user-guide#gsc.tab=0 For the Mill Operator's Manual...
Everyone has their own preferences, but this sounds like a solid plan. Plus, not only does this method allow you to inspect each tool cutter before the next job, but allows you to clean the tool...
On the sides of the head cover, you will notice a black angle bracket attached to each side. When reinstalling head cover on machine, pay attention to which channel of the Z-axis rail guides that...
If your head cover is a 1 piece design and not several panels, then you will basically need to bear hug the cover, reach around to the back edge of the cover, then slightly pull out towards the side...
