Oh that could be, they did have a few screw machines in the auction. Thanks!
I picked up a bunch of unidentified parts at an auction. A few bundles of parts like this which I'm assuming it's a pattern for some sort of cutter.
Does this setup require 3ph? I thought with the VFD it could be run in single phase.
You might check the belt tension, or make sure the motors are all tightened properly. If it's been sitting for awhile, they tension might have caused the motors to pull in a little and now teeth are...
How was the motor mount causing binding? I'm having some binding right now and trying to find where its coming from
Hoss, I'm going back over my phase 2 build from your plans, and I'm wondering, in older versions of the balls screws, was the x axis tension on the balls screw set by the end caps of the bed? The...
I went out this morning, to check a few things over, and decided to reflow the solder on the db9 connectors. When I plugged the power supply into the extension cord, I noticed it didn't make great...
I'm not saying you're wrong Connor, but having so many other people successfully using a uc100, would lead me to believe that this setup is possibly.
It is a fresh install of Windows 7, I'm using a uc100 parallel to usb converter. No Antivirus installed.
Just went out to run some more tests. I swapped the driver from the x and z, and changed the pins in mach3, now the x is showing these signs. It looks like it must be driver related.
Here is a short video as an example. Not sure what happened at the beginning, but the last few seconds show what is happening. This was only using the x and y jogging on an xbox 360 controller. I...
Thanks fastest1, is this only for the shielded wires from driver to stepper? Or does it include the wires from driver to the c10 board?
I've just got my machine going, and I'm getting quite a bit of interference to the steppers. I'm using shielded wires to the steppers as well as to the c10 board, but the power wires aren't shielded....
Hopefully this will be the last of my problems. I've blown the a68062 diode in my kbmm-125 controller. This part doesn't look like it's very readily available. Can anyone tell me if I'm able to...
Looks like the IR was it, I turned it down a little and everything smoothed out! Thanks CodeRage.
I just installed a kbmm-125 controller.
Hoss, have you had any issue with your treadmill motor cycling? The one I've put in place comes up to speed pretty good, but shortly after it slows way down, and speeds back up. If I put any kind of...
So I was hoping to upgrade to the 1.5hp pm30mv motor on my g0704, but it looks like the pm30mv is not long for the world, and the motor is unavailable. Here is an email I received from...
Hoss, do you have any thoughts on mounting a hot end and plate on the g0704 to make a 3d printer. I'm thinking it might not be that difficult with the tts collet with a hole in it.
Perfect! That's what I was hoping for. I'll be gentle until I have the belt drive setup.
Hoss, Are you still running the 1100watt motor from Weiss? With my motor being dead, I thought it was a good a time as any to upgrade. Will it a default setup without too much changes? It will be...
I was able to find my answer to the treadmill motor problem. If there is no load, it will turn off for about 10 seconds. Even resting my thumb on it is enough to add a load to keep it spinning. Now...
Thanks Ray, that's what I was afraid of.
I decided to try a treadmill motor to see if my motor could be the problem. I've hooked the treadmill motor up, and when turn the rpm dial up the motor...
219116I know it's not the way to test capacitors, however the 2 ceramic capacitors on the power supply board show infinite resistance. I'm thinking I can replace these and be back in business. Does...
I'm in need of more help. I was able to get everything wired back up, and the fuse kept popping. I was able to find a good deal on a kbmm-125, so I installed it today, hoping there might be a short...
Bummer, now that I've got it plugged back in correctly. As soon as I hit the power button, the fuse blows. I must have fried something pushing too hard.
Perfect! Thats what I needed, THanks COMachineist
I was trying to get a project finished, so I think I pushed at little too far. The mill powered off, and after a few minutes, I turned her back on, and she ran again for awhile. Then she blew the...
I've been going slow with my CNCd g0704, testing on wood. Today, I decided to try my luck at aluminum. I think I had my speeds and depth incorrect. On one cut it went in too deep, and broke my 3/8...
I decided to give the Automation Technologies ballscrews/nuts a try. I ordered them on Friday, they just arrived today. Paid about $230 with shipping. They look exactly like all the linearmotion...
