Exactly right Paul....It transferred across with a shaft and a matching belt at the other side
Well....the Z has made very slow progress........
Hi Randy, Thanks for the kind words!
The new machine is intended solely to drill/machine Aluminium sheet items 1.1 meters long with around 200 holes in each piece....hopefully accurately :)
Z...
Well, late last year I realised that a larger router was needed.....So I started to build a new one from parts I'd acquired a year or so previously.
First picture is my old router....It lasted...
If you buy 2 you have enough metal to make a really nice toolbox trolley too! :)
Seems like you nearly castrated yourself! :p
Seems like just the sort of thing liable to violate someone else's intellectual property...Put a condom on your motors you cheapskate.
It's my RF40 Warco mill.....It's been CNC for around 5 years now....Now it's enclosed....much nicer as castration is a one way thing for trailing chips in the house! :D
I've been moving things...
A quick picture of one mounted on a machine.
Nice! How does it know the tool is disengaged?
Have a look in the Megadyne manual
I did look at the features....I bought the MP3000-DTHC a few weeks back....Just getting the manuals I need disseminated from the collection on the disc :) I "think" I need the extra features of the...
That looks like the dogs danglies! Great price too.....Even with the G540 :)
Ahhh the monumentally uninformed :D
Is the cutter sharp....and turning in the right direction?
What is?
The same setup is available for the watercooled 400hz spindles from China........The spindle in the video costs more than I have invested in cnc plasma router and mill......When I'm rich I'll have a...
Do you mean something like this? If so then yes it's possible :)
I'd say it was originally a custom extrusion machined then formed and finally anodised and reamed.
Casting would only be cheaper in larger numbers.......Volume is king.
Anodising being the...
Have a play at "cadding it" yourself.....easier than paper drawings.
A chap on another forum was going to use a rubber mallet for this particular task.....might have taken years to loosen......I would have liked to watch the effort.....Just for a few hours :D
I think R8 is a slight improvement over MT.
£300.....The extra travel in X is the difference between making one part at a time or two...and not being able to make it at all if the part is too big...
I think ISO 30 is the way to go...However the options are zero on a machine this size :(
The SPG machine has a limited envelope for machining! which makes me not consider it.
MT3 is a pain to...
Congratulations :toot:
Is the 6'6" a requirement to get through the door? My bench mill needs 8" when at it's full working height.
Have a look at the WM18 from Warco and others....nice size table......Also factor in the...
I never gave any thought to the legality of my just allowing it to go to the drain.....I possibly still don't :)
I suspect you may be mad....Aside from that....how is the general accuracy of the machine? Are tool length offsets a problem? is the software programmed correctly? is the post processor correct? Is...
Me too!
taper lock bush.....and a pulley to suit..... 1108-14 for taper lock Pulley size you'd need to choose.
