That Dave Smith is quite the gentleman and was very helpful. He had me power up the machine, but not hit the start cycle, then move the table by hand, in the X axis and watch the monitor....

I've got the same machine with the Heidenhain TNC155b controller. I have the maintenance manual and all the Heidenhain manuals, plus parameters for the 155B.
