Well shoot - I didn't see this response (as Tapatalk seems to be dead on my phone) but yep - that was it the SMB 1.0 settings. I figured it out the long and hard way (and sort of stumbled on it by...
Hi everyone,
Trying to redo the networking to my syntec controller with a new pc.
It's stubbornly not working and as I have had it working on my old PC I just can't see why it isn't.
I...
Oh and I think the disk remote path part is just internal on windows ce portion (ie where you copy the files to) not really sure why it's there at all.

Well I'm not going to be a lot of help but if your share folder is syntec share then that should be in the spot where 'public' is unless you want to navigate to the syntecshare from public everytime....
Unfortunately not sure. I looked through the manual I had but error code mlc 84 is not listed so I guess it's a machine manufacturer added code.
I'd check all the sensors you can think of. I...
On another note, had fun the other day when I forgot to remove a shop vac off the rear of the table.
The machine finished a cycle and moved to the middle rear (my finish position) but it...
Well I didn't really level the machine on it's feet as I couldn't get the threads going and ground seemed flat enough.
Level of the table was fine basically though I might have reskimmed it to...
Allen, come on Syntec does support network file loading and network file running (DNC).
I've used both and I load programs from the network all day everyday.
I'll try and remember to screen...
Yeah should mention Omni is on the forum which can be useful. I've also seen 3 Omni machines personally. Myself and Rusty are happy with ours (his is a DSP controller and Multi water cooled...
Went for HSD as we had 2 machines with HSD spindles and they are great so we wanted the same.
My brother is trying out a HQD knock off as a replacement for the HSD (he broke the HSD but the...
I paid in and around 30k usd for a similar machine (see my long thread in Omni CNC forum). I don't mention price in the thread but it's 5 year later so....
I'd get way way more specific than...
So another little update. The machine has been working hard this year doing covid shields etc. I did a major rework of the support under the grid table and it has been a major major help. This was...
Not recently but mine is still going fine one the breaking part of breaking in was done (not major things see my long thread for details). They're probably about the same so all in all for a servo...
Not sure - you should be able to set the limits in further but I don't think the syntec 'looks' for out of limit code when doing the preview (as my last controller Centroid did - it would throw up an...
I've been debating that. I have a chinese machine. The purchase had hiccups but the machine was generally solid (see my other thread for details).
I think if you are adding a new capability...
Well good to know about another manufacturer. Hopefully someone else reads it and goes in with eyes open (or picks a brand with a bit more market feedback).

Just responded to someone similar with z issue. I think 881-3 parameters are the software offsets? I would just take a look through all the x related parameters, decide on the likeliest one and...
So that error means you have exceeded to software limit for the z axis. You cannot raise it up beyond that without changing the software limit. Usually the software limit would be just before the...
I'm not sure. I've always assumed it was just the one side, mainly because y and z only do 1 point and x seems to be the same on the screen.
If course the idea of a machine purposely trying to...
I don't know about the posts for fusion but have a Vectric one. Could send it Monday if you pm me. It might be posted somewhere too, can't remember. Can't recall what more common post it is similar...
Hi Guys - just thought about adding a quick update. The update is basically no update. After the initial failures on a few of the gears on the Y axis the machine has basically been as problem free...
What pressure is the tank. The alarm is low pressure, not low volume (that's a whole other issue, needless to say try to avoid that one).
The alarm triggers in the 80s so it might be a little...
Yep, the hsd/controller will keep the clamp open while doing the tool change.
Pretty sure my last Canadian made machine did the same.
That said, I can't describe mine as a large volume of air....
No I think the air releases the clamp, otherwise my tools would fall out at night....

Well is the z on an air assist? Mine is just on a lead screw so to do what you are saying the servo would need to be randomly moving.
That would normally produce a servo error anyway so not sure...
I'd just chop the blocks a hair personally. It's weird but the difference should be fine for the spindle grab.

It's more like oscillation. It's not really noticeable an corners, just flat materials. Really the only time it comes up as a practical issue is when I'm then polishing to a high gloss. Even then,...
Nothing to report. Planning to do some work on the vacuum platen one day and move the zones back to relay control with some pneumatic blast gates.
Otherwise working well. The only comment that I...
How to you restart? Or is it more of a crash?
I had some issues where my compressor (and maybe combined with the Omni air pressure sensor) was just a little too low at the low end of its cycle. ...
