7 pin models are steppers

hopefully this helps.
what is the tool you are trying to change the offset of?
my guess is that you have some sort of z safety limit set.
I hope you mean you want to add an offset to your mill? just click on the button towards the lower right hand side when inside of mach3 that says "save tool offsets" find your tool and change the...
yeah milling hard material isn't as bad as one would think. it's just a little more important that you get your speed/feed/doc correct the first time!
my advice to you would be to ask around the forum for people who are using tormach machines and what software works best for them and go from there. maybe talk to different software companies to get...
if you have 4 flutes try a .4 feed rate with 100 rpms.. 6 flutes use F.6 with 100 rpms etc... usually works out pretty good for me.. I also leave .01-.02 to take off.. good luck!
let me know how it goes!

You're using the 1" side of the 1-2-3 blocks? I used to run an old Johnford mill and had to do the same thing (pressing Z then INP.C.) but what I would do is use your feeler gage to touch the tool...
Best of luck and I strongly recommend you get a post for your machine since it clearly does not output correctly. If I were you I would just be hand coding everything until I had the correct post.
I'm the only machinist at in this company and the only one who knows anything about cnc machining. both machines are brand new out of the box. I told the boss that they need to build a separate,...
OK sorry I've never ran that machine before. I looked up the "I" error you have and it says that "I" is machining depth. So I guess switch your "Z" for an "I" and you should be good. if you were...
Not sure why you have a "D" value in there if your just drilling? Have you already tried taking any of those away? Your machine should be able to read all of those.
Yeah I worked with quite a bit of cast a couple years back.. and where I'm at now we have parts made from cast with graphite plugs in them.. efffff that crap!!
In the words of my idol Mr. Joe Dirt "Just keep on keepin' on". A little trick you can do is put your "D" value in your "safe" line which in your case is "G0G90G54X1.Y-1.25" so it would look like...
I didn't do ALL the work... He still has to put the part in the machine, load the program, set the tools, push the button and watch the sparks fly! lol
exactly what fletch was saying. your first g3 was moving further than the radius you typed in and the second line had no g1 so it was trying to arc that line as well.
I pasted code that I...
