Received mine today.
They are so cute!
I love the little gecko!
Too bad I could only get six but it's ok. I guess that means a G540 in the future.
I have no idea how you managed to get so good...
I hope you can get it working before the two week g250/251 special. I really want a six pack.
Any idea what such a package would be shipped to Sweden?
So g251 has screw terminals and a heat spreader. While the g250 only have the pin connector and no spreader?
Ah. I have not read every post but there where talk that one version would come with standard metal cover like 203v and the others.
So is the screw terminals the only difference?
Any pictures if the g250 vs g251?
Or are the covers still being made?
I don't see the problem. The drive is still cheap. 31$ is what I can see.
What people is to ignorant to see is that Gecko is not s store type business. They do sell products directly from factory...
Looking really good.
Isn't harddrives using a form of stepper motor at 15k rpm depending on drive? Also the motor to the hexagon mirror in a laserprinter.
Might be a sweet drive for a micro spindle.
Oh and can you...
That it awesome! I have to build one just to play with.
A simple comparator between input voltage and sensor voltage will just make it oscillate so it won't be that easy.
I have read around a...
I want to start simple before I build my own linear drive.
I have a speaker that I want to use in a servo manner by reading it's position and then control it with an analogue signal. (-2 to +2V or...
The reason you usually can't fins specs on used motors is because they are OEM ordered by the customer with specific specs and features. For many reasons the mfgr don't give out any info about such...
Sweet. Good to hear that things are moving forward.
Any videos of that resonance damping?
Any loss of torque at 1/16 compared to 1/10 or 1/8 etc?
Climate change is real!
Can you honestly say that the air in every major city is clean?
Can you honestly say that lakes and rivers is not getting affected by fertilizer?
Can you honestly say that...
A computer crash is never fun. However in most cases the data or most of it is still intact. You only have to know how to extract it.
If only the system failed you can access the disc from another...
That is reely nice
Yep that was a pun. :violin:
Great to see things moving.
Any news?
You could plot a vector from pulse/dir data but that would mean a deley between sending out the pulses and reciveing a vector. If the system needs to slow down you will quickly run out of buffer...
Could you post a pic of the mill and motor?
The size kind of determins what motor and driver is needed.
I played with some belts from a printer. They move the printerhead back and forth. IIRC arount 8-10 mm wide. At the time I was not able to break one and I think they would support at least 50kg.
At...
The computer sends a lot of rubbish etc to the lpt ports and that could do anything from moving some axis to wreck havoc.
With a charge-pump you need to feed it a stable 12KHz for it to activate...
I was reffering to one that goes all the way through the case.
Of cource it has to compleat the circuit.
Just don't runt a steel bolt through a toroidal.
I have heard of people do that and while they figure out why it draws so much power the case will get burning hot.
IBM had a server that required a very slow fuse.
It draw in exess of 200A when turned on. Ether 220V 1 phase or 2 phase 360V. Can't remember.
Anyway I will change fuse and awitch to run it as is....
10A 230V Mains. I will never get close to draw full power for it anyway. Only for testing things with etc.
I turn it on with no load.
I am thinking of using it to control the speed of motors etc...
I have a transformer with primary 220V and secondary 0-260V 16A
It is as of now fitted with a electronic fuse that is too quick so it blows every time it is turned on and you have to "triple click"...
Ah I see. I guess it won't be a problem most of the time as most people gear down or use a lower pitch for their Z
Thanks
I have browsed through a lot of drivers. They are ether way too expensive or is only cheap fullsteppers. (been there, done that and ended up with a broken board, luckily i just bought 1)...
We need daily updates!!!
Nah just kidding. How is it going?
Is there a low voltage limit or will it work with nearly any bipolar or unipolar stepper that is wired as bipolar?
Any minimum...
I have two Step-Syn 2.5V 2.1A and two Step-Syn 4.5V 1.8A
All of them is unipolar (6 wires)
I thought I was going for the HCNC driver but this is far more interesting.
I will also have the...
