The cd,9 has to be set the same as the software
used to load the control.

The book goes over settings and they have to match the
software settings.

I use

I use a fadal post but you have to call the program
a xxxxx.FNC file instead of xxxxx.NC.
I believe most basic Fanuc posts will work
and the VM 10 recognizes the FNC
tag only.

tool I wanted to change to auto to a slot with a zero...

You can create a segment of the arc required in xz, or yz, and rotate the arc
around the centerline to create a spherical surface.
Then surface the surface.

I learned to jog to cold start position,
and going thru the cold start procedure
before shutting down for the day.
