None of my FeatureCam versions see either of my Dongles. I was messing around trying to load Ez-Cam 6.21 on an XP machine (stupid idea) and I think I inadvertently loaded the Ez-Cam Sentinel files...
I'd recommend that you not only hang on to V6.2.1 but it is the handiest version BP ever produced and you take the time to learn how to use it!! Seriously I can think of no less then 6 other shops in...
Well No not in that since, she runs a 2 collet system for rigidity for turning bar stock. The 1 out on what would normally by a main collet assembly is actually the guide bushing collet assembly with...
I have a massive air leak in the main spindle. It drains my 120 gallon air compressor in only a couple of minutes and I haven’t been able to track it down. And ideas would be welcome thanks.
Did you ever figure out what the problem was.
After removing the guide bushing (the #2 main spindle collet) from the main spindle to get to the main collet for removal, the machine developed a massive air leak in the main spindle. I haven’t been...
We put a used ST-25 on the floor fired it up and things seemed to be OK. Then after removing the guide bushing (the #2 main spindle collet) from the main spindle to get to the main collet, the...
Ok after yesterdays & last nights discussion I came up with an obvious plan. 1st thing this morning I’m grabbing a bucket of water and drop the siphon hose in then fire the system up & see what...
Yeap sure did nothing has worked so far. I think I'm calling Fastenal in the morning and buying a new one.
Hay thanks for all the help, have a good one!
Well working within your means you might try using cutters with more flutes. With only 2,000 rpm to work with, I'd recommend using a 6 flute cutter but running your machine no higher then 1,875 rpm....
Yes I did, at least 3 times plus I replaced the O-rings. It's crazy the darn thing is like new! There are no holes in the siphon hose nothing that I can see that would cause it to start blowing air...
The cost factor to consider is the hardened 50Rc steel and also the coated powdered cobalt drills & coated carbide center drills (all specials). The costs for WD-40 becomes secondary. Besides, as I...
I'm sure you have already had lots of great answers for this but anytime you experience anything like this in the future, go get a mag base with a .0001 indicator on it and place it on the table/vise...
Ooh you-guys are over thinking this…. 1st I’m not atomizing the WD-40, it spits out in droplets! Much more dense then what would come out of a can. Also I’ve been using WD-40 for over 25 years as a...
I’m running hardened steel about 50 Rc in my little modified CNC and the standard water soluble coolant just wasn’t cutting it. So I devised this plan to run treated WD-40 in my Kool mister instead!...
As a mater of fact I’m planning on putting both a wire and a sinker in SOON. The wire obviously will be programmed with FeatureCam the sinker is just manual machine however. But what you’ll find with...
I’m really leaning toward a Dekel Maho monoBlock but that was one of my first concerns I run FeatureCam all the post processors are there. For the rest of you guys are you running the Heidenhain 530...
What I like about FeatureCam is "THE POWER" you don't find in any other software.
I don't think you'll see any problems what so ever I’ve been bringing in Solid Works part files for years and never a glitch. The software is tremendous. GO FOR IT & Enjoy!
A little help please! I’m having an issue with my FeatureCam so I decided the best thing I could do was to uninstall all versions of FeatureCam in my system/ clear my registry, then reinstall from...
Yes your absolutely right but in this case that’s not my call, I have to work with what was put on my desk although be it reluctantly.. lol And yes I started the job out with old top Notch 5degree...
Yeah I’ve heard those stories, they really seem almost like myths because I don't know anybody that's experienced the problem. The theory makes since especially if you were to start cutting pure...
If you can find affordable lines on these standards you’ll be in the hunt. Great base line standards for any company in manufacturing to start with.
You’ll need This: ANSI - American National...
Invest in a really good 5 Hp vacuum cleaning,,, maybe consider running a two duct air abatement system on the top shrouds on top of the machine. One duct on the top left & one on the top right just...
Boy have I got this thread beat… I’m single point thread cutting hardened 4140. Hasn’t been much fun>:wee:
I’ve used them all! But I still come back to FeatureCam every time with the same realization that the others have been and still are a waste of my time. That’s the advantages of FeartureCam! But go...
I’m considering buying an older Fadal 4020 (older then 99) and running it on a rotary phase converter. The best info I’ve found so far says 4020 runs a tad over 16 KVA. Does anybody know what the KVA...
I know back in 2000 before the stock market crash of 2001, there was a place in Santa Clara, Ca. where they converted a mini storage into mini shops!! You could drive down each isle & look inside the...
Pizza cutters… Buy a pak of carbide bladed pizza cutters and just spin on the edge of the holes by hand. They’ll give a nice finish on the radiuses. You can find them at any machine tool supplier...
