Thanks, we are aware of the springs, but this is catching on something solid, I'm guessing we are going to have to manually jog the table, but so far we haven't had any luck.

We have a bad servo, we cannot get the x axis way cover off to get to the servo. We have all the screws out, but it is catching on something under the table. We cannot move the table because the...
I bought a shop last year that has a Galaxy Quasar 250L Lathe with Fanuc control. The book says we can use an M29 to Rigid Tap, but it is not working.
When we use M29 the machine just stops at the R...

Before I finished typing this I found the answer, but I thought it may help someone else, There was a value in the X (Shift) on the work coordinates page.
I recently purchased a used Johnford...
We got it apart, the thrust bearing at the bottom was completely shot and the shaft was rusted to the carousel. We had to beat the shaft out with an aluminum plug and 3 lb. sledge hammer. We cleaned...
We have a Johnford VMC750 with a tool changer that won't index all the way around without some assistance. We took it off the machine and are working on disassembling it, does anyone have any insight...
I've got a buddy trying to enable cutter comp on a Siemens control, what command enables cutter comp?
Thanks,
Don
Well from what I can see then the drip rate doesn't apply to your unit or situation. I haven't seen that model before; I'll defer advice to someone who knows that unit. Hope you get an answer!

The attached picture shows the unit that controls spindle oil. It is directly above the way oil pump. The sight glass on the right side shows your drip rate for spindle oil.
HTH,
Don
I worked on this some more this morning and I got the code below to work, however the spiral was cut in G2 instead of G3 and the machine got real jerky as the spiral got bigger. It doesn't seem to...
mactec54,
Thanks for the info, but I'm working on getting my post processor to output this code. I can get line segments out of it now but that causes large files that have no edit value.
Don
Neal,
I tried changing it to R0, still doesn't like it.
One other question on line 21 in .00077 a constant?
Thanks,
Don
Hey Neal,
Yeah I was looking through your long example trying to decide if my post processor would spit out the applicable numbers or not.
I can get:
Spiral Start Radius
Spiral Angle
Spiral...
Digging up old threads here, but I came back to this today to see if I can finally solve this post processor output. Below is what I am getting but the machine chokes on it (Line 27). What am I...
Hey Neal,
It is not something that I am taking lightly, I'm sure there is some complicated code involved. However without looking at it, it's impossible to know if it if even feasible. Can it be...
DareBee,
Do you think the disk skimmer works better on your Fadal than the sidewinder would? I have a disk skimmer on mine but it seems to take more coolant out 20/1 for oil. It's frustrating...
Edster,
Thanks for the response. A friend of mine just mentioned the Zebra skimmer to me yesterday. You didn't like the Keller, how long did you use it? How long have you used the Zebra? How does...
Dave,
Thanks for the response, I'm running version 102.1.
My question is about modifying the software, has anybody tried making modifications? Every piece of software out there seems to have...
Geof,
I like what I see in that skimmer, it looks like a good product. Although it is not in the budget at the moment it may be a priority purchase in the near future. I'm glad they didn't have to...
Is the CNC 88 software in the machine changed by flashing the chip? Can it be uploaded from the chip to a PC?
I'm wondering about making modifications to the software, has anyone tried to do it...
Geof,
That is certainly a glowing review of the Keller skimmer! You should be getting a commission! :) I'm definitely going to investigate these.
I had seen some suggestions for simpler...
I'd like to revisit this subject, I've seen a few suggestions of how some of you are doing this scattered about. Can we put it all in one thread?
What you use?
Applicable part #'s and source?

Hey Matt,
Thanks for the great example, Have you done any other work on this?
Don
Here are a couple sections from the manual.
HTH,
Don
Well I guess adding a P value to the G83 line is about the best option then. According to the manual this should stop the rapid the specified distance above the previous peck bottom point and begin...
CNC 88HS control.
Is there a way in programming to slow down the rapid move to 50%?
I'm running a part that has one hole that is .200" diameter x 4.169" deep in SS. I have to overide the...
The post on my CXA is a 3/4-16 - I'm surprised that it is a standard fine thread. According to the Alrois 2006 price list the Flange nut for the BXA is $11.00, don't be suprised if your quoted $20.00...
You won't find it in the book, you'll have to call MSC and they will call Aloris and quote you a price. If your lucky maybe they will tell you the thread size.
What is the diameter of the screw?...
