Thanks Ian,
I tried to maintain a weekly status on this project and share a new video each week.

Hi all,
I was off for a while but I'm back now !
I launched a new project and share it with several videos.

Thanks. It mays help for similar applications.
Hi all,
We you make a CNC you need to tap. If your drill press is like mine, unreversible spindle, there is an amazing device that is a great help for tapping but needs some care. I make a video...

Hi all,
Sometimes G code could be confusing. This video tries to make it less:

Hi all,
I wanted to upgrade my CNC as I make a lot of aluminium milling and cooling is critical for it. So I decided to share with you how I made it on my machine with also some G-codes controls...
Hi all,

Hi all,
After a "broken start" I made some analysis and testings. I found a great solution.
Here it is the result of the top side 3D CNC milling:

Hi Tony.
You really point it but having a CAD/CAM without a headdake is like having a year with 2 christmas
Lol
Hi scales,
Divide CNC project with 2D and 3D approach is a good idea. It will be more easy to find the good soft.
My experience teachs me that FreeCAD can either work well in 2D or 3D with no...
Hi scalle11,
Do not know if you are still interested with free soft but it can help other people:
3D CAD sofware: Freecad
3D CAM : Pycam
I have also a dedicated video about the CNC workflow:
Hi all,
Often we succeed in our project but sometimes not. With this experience I had a leason learned. I prefer to share it with you maybe you can avoid it:

You are the welcome ! Hope it can help for any stuff.

Hello,
When you create a CNC or similar machine you always need one or more power supplies. Depending of the needed voltage there is one very interesting solution to create a robust one:

Hello,
I create this video because I use a water cooling spindle on my wooden cnc router and I guess it can help some of you if you have the same choice:

hello all,
PYCAM is not very new but is usable, can receive stl format file so you can deal with 3D object. Here it is an example I created:

You point it LeeWay.
Thanks to you I know the good word for this operation slot not groove I placed everywhere ;)
I was afraid to break the mill so at the beginning I was very conservative....
Thanks all,
Here it is an other video with a very small groove machine:

Hello jmf,
I use a 6mm 2 flutes carbide TiN coated end mill with center cut.
Travel speed is 640 mm/min
Deepth per cut is 0.5mm
Spindle speed is 15 000 rpm.
You can see also this video with...
Hi all,
I have to mill a small groove on aluminium parts and I was not sure the small end mill will be able to do the job:
