Also, in order to mill the slop youll have to use hss job.

Youll have to use a ball mill for this one and than you gonna have round corners.

Helical conter down would grind the bottom part of your tool. Escpasally if it's not a center cutting tool.

Mill it on aluminum plate. Just mill a down helix spiral at slow feed rate.

Would like to try it too: [email protected]
Keep in mind, solidcam is pretty expansive. At least 1.5k per seat.
You shuld use cam softwere. I recomend solidcam.
Will ask my Solidcam r&d support soon.
I would recommand doing it at solidworks.
You'r machine can rotate that much?
Hi. Sorry. Have poor experiance with 3d milling. More hsm ans hss.
What kind of op fo you use?
We are talking aluminum, right?
I think 0.5 is too much. Try 0.3 and finish. You can engrave a bit dipper at solidcam.
Yes the haas service guy did use some files i had reparing it. Thank you.
And define your vice as fixture.
Whan i push prog list i hear a load bang noise came out of atc (i think) then the keyboard stop responding and i have to power off the machin in order to carry on working. I cant choose another...
Anyone knows how to deal with problems with haas super vf2 control?
You can calculate in parallel.
I would recomend thread mill, If it's an option for you. You can buy coated tap for longer life span.
You are right but most times hss finish turns out to finish much smoothly then hsm.
In jeneral. I use big bull mill for hsm. And small ball mill for hss.
Hsm is for roughing. You can go very fast feed rate but keep step over small.
Hsm and hss. Do you know how to use them?
It shuld show the stock only when simulating.
