Here is a picture of a knee mill Z conversion.
Hood over a Mach3 forum sent me several pictures
of his conversion. I hope to do mine some day, but
so far I get along using the rack and pinion....
I converted my bridge port clone to cnc about two years ago.

I'm just completing a Atlas 9 x 42 knee mill converison. I built everything from the ground up. I used steppers with gecko 201 drives. On my X & Y axis I'm driving with a 1:1 timing belt....
