HI,
What's the best cable possible to use between a motor and a Gecko 203v? I see the possibility of buying the twisted pair shielded and I wonder if it would make any difference with the quality...
Dear Kirk
Where can I check out the pc software that talks with your ethernet controller?
thanks,
Francis
A bit more about motor linearity, if possible with up to date examples... like a general chinese motor x a oriental motor. 800oz/in motors, around that range.
thanks
Hello Itran, I am fairly new to cnc electronic components and operational procedures, could you explain a bit better how that works?
What's the fault output and why would it prevent us from ruining...
humm, i didn't know that the 201x did that. You are smart Mariss!:)
One more, is the G201X going to do this staded on the quote below, or that's the G213X's job?
Thanks,
Francis
Mariss,
Will it morph all the different possible resolutions up to full step, as the RPM increases?

Hi
Would anyone be able to tell what material (alloy) was used to braze the carbide grits on the picture?
I am thinking copper alloy paste... not sure, the color does not resemble copper...
Are there bigger motors (800in-oz) with good linearity? Could you recommend a brand or a type?

I'm kind of wondering if the "X" (i.e.G201x) means that Bipolar Paralell connections will be way more widely used with the upcomming drives?
Any predictions when the Rev.1 of the 201X will come...
Mr. Mariss
"It has 5 independently operating closed loops and it is beautiful."
That sounds complicated... Will it need an encoder? and are you sure you will be able to sell it for ~...
Hi,
As a newbie to stepper motor wiring I would like to ask a question in regards to Unipolar x half coil...
Is it the same thing? If not, do you get a similar torque curve if you have a motor...
STFW means: Search the fu#!%! web !!
I found nice stuff about motor linearity, it's really worth the reading. It is an important characteristic of a motor when running it at very low speeds! ...
Hi,
I'm trying to understand the motor linearity and what it does to the performace of a stepper motor. Does it has to do with the internal mechanical dimensions of a determined motor?
I need...
Russel,
Don't exactly know why, but when I used the PC's power supply the encoder worked perfectly...
thanks,

Thanks Russel!!!
OK, the measuring device is meant to be be carried by hand and will have encoders for axis y and z. Axis X will have stops at preset positions only, just to keep is simple, also...
Hi Russel,
Decided to make myself "visible" to the community today, here at your beautiful thread.
I am working on the surfboard scanner as I told you through PM and today the Digikey encoders...
