This long discussion started as an "upgrade" to Linistepper, that is:
how to avoid heath-sink required by linistepper, but still have microstepping.
Now we are talking how to build a FULL STEP...
here is .hex file I read from my programmed PIC16f628
It seems to me it cnczone does not like .hex, so change txt to hex
No, because it goes On 3 times, and Off one time
!!! I use PIC16F628, not 628A !!!
...that's the one I tested....
In attachement: 3 axis "original" linistepper
I have four leds on pins 6, 7, 8, 9 ( RB0 to RB3)
The sequence is
6 + 9
7 + 9
8 + 9
all off
tested with signal generator at very low frequency ( +- 1 Hz)
Is this right?
Paul
The PCB was buil as for Kovell schematic, then, test after test, I started
to cut traks, so no problem. Tell me what are the outputs, if "mode" inputs are to GND or VCC, if I have to connect "low...
Ok, after a good coffee, everything smiles
Now please tell me:
what hex
what config
what schematic
I still have some PICs
Paul
PS to cut testing time, I will connect leds on the output pins of...
Hi, Steve Tee,
and thank you for all the support
Here in NW Italy it is a rainy day , it's 11.30 AM
Now I need a little break, a cup of coffee.
Just a moment ago you suggested me a new test file,...
...I NEED AN EXORCISM....
Settings for STEPPER 03.hex
HS PWRTE
or also MCLRE and BOREN?
paul
I'm sorry
I'm surely wrong
But I compared the original LINISTEPPER
and Lini 01-628.hex ( on this forum)
They are the same file
Is this right?
Paul
Here is my ( now semi-destroyed) test PCB
Some parts are on the bottom side
...ehm....A&B aerospace...we cut foam wing for aeromodels....

I still think the idea of using some sort of PWM for microstepping is absolutely right.
I still think it can be done using some parts of linistepper code.
I still think both Kowell and Steve vee...
Just tested Steve vee "lini_01-628.hex" with outputs on pins 6, 7, 8, 9
( RB0 to RB3 ).Settings for programmer :
OSC : HS CP off PWRTE MCLRE
No, it does not work ( again: in my...
Right now I have tested Kowell's "stepit_16f628.hex" No, id does not work
( Please note: in MY circuit, built as schematic, etc)
Now I will test Steve vee with new outputs.
No, there is no...
I use WINPIC800: it programs and compares at the same time.
When something goes wrong, I compare, I try to understand if settings are OK,
I try with another new-never used before PIC, etc.
The...
Just tested with new-just arrived IRFZ44
Same result as for IRF540: stepper vibrates, but does not rotate.
If I put 4 leds on the outputs I can not see the sequence ( in 200 steps), but something...
Thank you for support!
Of course I have a 7805, not a 79, and only one for 4 circuit.
35Vin is an absolute maximun rating for 7805, I use a 24Vca transformer, and so I prefer to stay on the secure...
I,m sorry, but I'm not an eagle-eye,
1) is xtal 16 MHz? ( not so clear in my picture, but I saw 16 MHz in the .asm)
2) Are the windings connected as in your schematic?
3) Am I wrong, or you named...
I connected some leds here and there.
I can see the leds going on and off on rb4-5-6-7
I can see the same on the outputs to the stepper.
Setted on 200 steps (RA2 andRA3 to gnd),
with a slow...
Hi,
I have a problem with my circuit :
I built a PCB with 4 circuits for a very big CNC foam cutter.
I built using the schematic ( xtal is on pin15 and 16, not 16 and 17)
and used IRF540 instead...
Hi Suske,
tell us more about your P&P project
Manncorp EXP pick and place machine , for the first time, uses the very same technology used in lot of hobby machines: toothed belts, T-slotted...
Have you seen the new Manncorp ECM-EXP on ebay?

I have seen www.hobbycnc.hu/english.htm
(mechanical 29)
--------------my hat off: ------------
now it is really possible to build an home-made PICK & PLACE !
Again:...
Peter,
please help us with detailed pictures!
You know what we need.
Detailed pictures, dimensions, ideas for Z axis from
your P&P: everything can be useful!
Thank you
ciccio
Yes, max power, relay always ON
I think you need a lot of power, at least a better toaster than mine!
please see post on your address
Paolo
Here are temp:
1' 00 100 C°
1' 30 135 C°
1' 45 155 C°
2' 00 170 C°
2' 15 185 C°
2' 30 197 C°
3' 00 222 C°
3' 15 230 C°
3' 30 245 C°
You can buy two low-cost toaster and add heathers from
one oven inside the other you convert to SMD oven.
This is difficult for home-made SMD ovens here in Italy, because we have only 2.700W ! So...
here is my SMD oven
I think it was +- 1200W
If you need an oven for professional use: buy it
If you need an oven fore some SMD board: elektor oven ( or similar)
If you want to test, try a 20 Euro oven , you can have good result even without...
inertia of the system makes it slow.
In my opinion there is no need for feedback.
It starts, goes to setted temp, then stops
and "beeps" to remember to open the door to cool .
Elektor oven has...
