Hey Widgit, Glad to see your still kicking, plaques look great. As always keep up the good work and drink LOTS of water !!!
Ok I have a stereo amp that is drawing between 3.5 -5.0 amps running 7 speakers totaling around 65 watts. I just tried a 12 volt 3amp 6800maH battery and it kept shutting down(battery had built in...
As long as the business end is good that back end wobble is not too much to worry about
Hello, I have built what I hope to be a portable bluetooth speaker. It has a total of 7 speakers in this configuration 3 for the left and 3 for the right channels wired parallel giving me just under...
Sorry it has taken soo long to reply but I did get it working but have no clue how I did it. The strange thing is that I cannot get it to run at its highest speed, won't even turn the motor. SO I...
Yes Smith, great work as always and again glad to see your kicking !!!!
hey Smith good to see your still kicking!!! Great progress since the last time I checked this thread!!!
Ok I bought a powermac g3 laptop to run some old software that I have. However it wouldn't power on. Now the adapter has a green led that did light up but at the output when I measured with my meter...
Looks Good !!
I am soooo mad I listened to the wife and threw out 3 good power supplies that I had in the closet for years. Oh well someone will throw out a pc again.
Looks good, least you were able to fix it, good job and keep us posted !!!!
First off you should be slapped for putting all those spaces in between the Novalab website you mentioned in your first post, why?
Second Waaay back before I knew better I too thought the 3 in 1...
Ok I want to know since I have a spare 14v screwgun charger if I can use it to power the same 14v motor that I plan to use in my powerfeed mod I am doing?
Oh hell yes, Welcome back WidgitMaster !!!!!!!! All hail the Widgitmaster !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok, the motor has the power it needs, but at its slowest setting its very jumpy. I tried resistors on the pots common lead with no effect. So maybe a new controller is in order?
Thanx again Al. SO I tried the momentary button it didn't work, I need to replace the button as I broke it installing it and now it wants to get stuck when you push it in. So now I have to wonder...
Thanx again Al, I guess I should have pointed out the main reason for finding the ground on the pot.
On another forum a guy uses almost the same controller except his was 15 amp 12 volt. Mine...
Here are the results of testing the pot. Powered on and pot running motor at about half speed.
I set my meter to dc 20 v, I had the com lead from the meter to the power in ground, the red meter...
Thanx Al, that was next attempt at finding ground was to measure voltage. I was told the pot has a common, wiper and 5 volt load, would the wiper(whatever that is) have a reading?
I have this speed controller New PWM DC Converter 12V 36V 10A DC Motor Speed Adjuster Controller Driver | eBay
I am trying to locate the ground on the speed pot. I tried finding cont. between the...
I think I will remake the coupling and I have figured a way to save the mounting plate by plugging the existing lead screw hole with a tapped plug that I will mill flat and re drill the correct...
Pretty slow, dead crawl. But I have to remake my coupling and I have decided to remake the mounting plate . Both are causing binding.
I still might have to order a new speed controller as the...
A little more progress on the power feed. Works great except I bought the wrong voltage lighted rocker switch, the rapid traverse doesn't work yet, and I messed up the mounting plate hole for the...
A2 steel is a tough steel, and like diyengineer said you are taking way to hefty of a bite with that mini mill. I would also mic the cutters and make sure they are the diameter they say they are,...
Thanx Al, I think i will dish out and buy the power supply I need, its only $9 delivered
H500 the motor is stripped out of the gun no electronics from the gun are being used other than the motor which has 2 wires coming out of it.
The nature of the controller? this is what I...
Another guy on another forum, built the same powerfeed mod using the same motor. He said he tested it and barely pulled an amp under load. Plus the clutch will keep it from pulling too many amps,...
I am doing a powerfeed mod for my milling machine. I am using an old 14 volt Ryobi screwgun motor. I was wondering if I could use a 20 volt 3.5 amp power supply(wall wart) I have to run it?
I...
Well got the plates for the head, faced one side of one plate and realized I need to start the power feed mod before I finish the head. So almost done with the power feed , just have to go buy some 4...
Looking good bud!!! Love seeing the progress. This is the z axis right?
