I know this is an old thread but I want to see if anyone has any information on a similar issue.... We are getting a CMOS RAM does not exist fault... I am assuming this is similar to a typical RAM...
Do they stall/die out in the same area of the table every time... Have you checked your measurements to make sure you are square? Do you have any way of monitoring the load on the motors and power...
How accurate are you trying to be.?

Why is no one questioning the E stop switch/circuit.....? The switch is supposed to interrupt the circuit. Looks to me as he has ground to one side and low voltage in on other.... I think the E stop...

I under your eagerness to get this going but we really need to reel you back in a little.
If you are in the US and using 120v AC you must switch that 230 switch to the other setting. It may say...
I recommend buying a male 120vac plug and some SO cord and do some google research. It will be a great learning experience and get you familiar with basic outlet wiring.....

Technically all this is is a motor not really a spindle. I am no motor expert but have had plenty apart and feel that photo 2 is the one that makes the most sense and seems to be correct.

The highlighted section needs to "mate" equally with the magnets inside of the cylinder. So the top and bottom edges of the highlighted section need to match or coincide with the magnets inside the...
Can you safely attach the motor directly to the PSU? I would like to cut the leads on the motor side of your solder and hook that directly to the PSU....That will give us insight if it's in the motor...
Looks like 30VDC to me. Next thing I would check is the solder connections you made. If those are good I'm going to lean towards a bad spindle motor...
We're the wires attached to the spindle? Is...
We are a long ways from worrying about G Code. Can you get a picture of where the meter is reading?
The power cord can be made easily or perhaps purchased and already set up...
Is that the...
We need to verify you are getting 36 volts DC out and you have 110v AC in. Put the meter on DCV and put the leads where marked on this photo. The DC line should read around 36V. The top green line of...
Do you have a meter to check output power of the PSU? (Power supply unit) Take a picture of the output of the power supply. Let's verify that is hooked up properly.

If battery checks good let's also look at the power supply. 12v and 5v. I've seen the 5 volt wire on those fluctuate and cause similar issues.

Yes that is the software version listed on screen.... But we weren't sure if the replacement processor had the same. We made the assumption based on the stickers having the same info.....
3.7 and using my best "assumption" the processor board had that also... I came to this by the stickers on the chips all saying 3.7
I have a crazy one here... A few weeks ago we fired up our Haas (Which we run almost daily) and we had a "157 Motor Interface PCB Failure" We hit reset and it cleared fine. Just for grins I opened...
Thanks I really appreciate that! We will try tomorrow and report back!
