This is a simple backplane computer. Nothing special. The nexcom 715 is not special. If you need to replace it order one off eBay and set the jumpers like your stock board. Hurco would love for you...
Is the CPU heatsink retention mechanism working or broken? Open up the computer cab and take a look.
What I meant was contact your local machine seller. They usually will have techs that know their ****. We have a local that sells hurco machines and their techs are always willing to offer advice. If...
Before you do that perhaps talk to your local hurco rep and see if there's a solution?
Not wrong at all. Even with the added hurco option of advanced motion control (correct me if my terminology is incorrect) there's squeels in profile changes of direction.
Sounds like it. Well son of a *****. I will get back to y'all when I get a chance to open her up.
Somehow I think belt dressing would be a better choice. Good call.
Yeah that's what I suspect. This should be interesting.
Perhaps I can get some video of the noise tomorrow. Shame I don't have a video of before and after. Would probably be easier to tell. It's a faint difference but I noticed it right away.
So I was machining some angles into some 2x4 inch 1/4 wall steel tubing and had a 1 inch HSS 4 flute catch near the end of a cut and break. Ever since I've had a different noise when the spindle is...
So what exactly are you trying to sell? The hurco ultimax programming manual itself?
I am more curious on making precise keyway cuts with a keyway cutter. I see I can maybe do it on the lathe before secondary machining center ops which will get rid of having to place it exactly...
I am also curious on this. I have some stuff to broach and using one of our machining centers would be ideal over doing it by hand with an arbor press.
You may want to find the user hoss and send them a private message.
Yeah we waterjetted the panels out of the 4x8 sheets then I made up a fixture plate doweled to square them with some quick clamps. Cleaning out the machine took forever. And I'm pretty sure it's...
Glad to help man. Sometimes the simplest solution to a problem is the best solution.
Isnc is what you want if you plan to program non conversationally or with a cam program from what I've seen.

Can use this technique on an inside hole or around a perimeter.
I use an edge finder touch off one side, store pos, jog to opposite side and divide the difference. There's x centered. Then do the same with y.
I should clarify, 28 holes per, countersinking, and some 2 inch holes and 1.625 inch slots .400 deep joining them.
Yeah I was milling some 1/2" stuff. Plates 30"x28"
Reminds me of when I fat fingered something during part setup and somehow put a z offset in and the tool and tool holder just rammed into the work piece at rapid speed and tripped a servo fault....
Oh and bump. Any news on this? Just realized how old this thread is.
I personally wouldn't use cooking oil. It breaks down rather quickly and you'll get a nasty smell coming from it.
Excellent. I actually finished up the garolite not too long ago. After resharpening HSS drills often I switched over to cobalt once they arrived. I think next time, and there most likely will be, I...
Short life and delamination on the exit. I'm using a base that is used for several other plates made of aluminum and I made reliefs that were bigger than the drilled holes as some plates were tapped....
8000. But with my fixturing I don't think I could feed it that fast without shifting the part.
I'm doing a fairly large job involving some 1/2" garolite plates measuring 24"x30" and have a few questions. Currently I'm drilling 28 3/8 thru holes with counter sink on opposite side. I'm going...
