Re: Hurco VM1 Control wont start up!

The markup they charge is ridiculous. I can get the board, processor, heatsink retention mechanism, heatsink, and ram for a third of what they want. They may not say it's proprietary where you are...

Re: Hurco VM1 Control wont start up!

This is a simple backplane computer. Nothing special. The nexcom 715 is not special. If you need to replace it order one off eBay and set the jumpers like your stock board. Hurco would love for you...
  3. Re: VM1 wont get past the windows boot up screen??

Is the CPU heatsink retention mechanism working or broken? Open up the computer cab and take a look.

  5. Re: hurco ultimax 3 hesitation when changing directions

Before you do that perhaps talk to your local hurco rep and see if there's a solution?
  6. Re: hurco ultimax 3 hesitation when changing directions

Perhaps I can get some video of the noise tomorrow. Shame I don't have a video of before and after. Would probably be easier to tell. It's a faint difference but I noticed it right away.

    Odd noise after tool break

So I was machining some angles into some 2x4 inch 1/4 wall steel tubing and had a 1 inch HSS 4 flute catch near the end of a cut and break. Ever since I've had a different noise when the spindle is...

I am more curious on making precise keyway cuts with a keyway cutter. I see I can maybe do it on the lathe before secondary machining center ops which will get rid of having to place it exactly...

I am also curious on this. I have some stuff to broach and using one of our machining centers would be ideal over doing it by hand with an arbor press.
