Are you sure it is even a variable? I mean, does it actually affect the cut path or what the machine does? Those might be only for operator assistance (so they can easily see what each tool is) not...
I'm guessing you haven't called Renishaw...as they will quickly get you the manuals.
You can turn them on and off...and they are calculated only when you use them (have them turned on)
Man, you Canadians and your crazy commutes!
LOL Yeah no kidding...but my point is...did the tool maker run 15 minutes on a Haas or on a Mazak? :wee:
I think you are posting generally good info though...but it is clear the OP could care...
"After that you throw it in the scrap bin" ...that is pretty funny to put in a catalog...
I haven't really paid any attention to any company actually stating a time for tool life since you may...
Offset Contour
15 minutes of tool life?
Are these your only probe machines? Something has gotta be odd with what you are telling it to do. I've literally NEVER had either probe go out of calibration. I check them every now and then but...
It's a little tough to "repair" a board on a Haas...they are made to just be replaced. It's not impossible, but not something they would do for you. This machine is only 2 years old?
How have you tried? Have you actually contacted Haas and they will not give you this info?
I can't tell if you are trolling or not. You only registered yesterday and have all of 3 posts all on the Haas page and all regarding Matsuura. Very Troll-like
If you need specs on a Haas why...
Most of the time on a tool room lathe the tool post is the biggest cause of repeatability errors. Holding .001" on a TL1 is normally quite common.
Glass scales on a 20k machine...? I'd have to...
"a bit more advanced"...that is why I don't get too crazy on the Haas. It just isn't capable imo of true CMM reporting (i.e: your ISO audit). I don't think I'd trust it beyond .0005" and even then...
I use it for verification only - and sometimes will write in tool offset adjust if part is out of spec and tool re-run macros. I haven't gotten to the point where I really care about posting a...
^^^^FTW!!!!^^^^
The all so common Haas spindle pop...I will say, though, that it happens on machines that are perfectly clean also.
Lightly grease the pull stud and I also lightly oil the...
I can't imagine assuming he runs the same endmill for both aluminum and stainless...and since he has been doing this a long time he must be fully aware of the tool wear line that you guys are...
Good to hear. Now put up some pics already.
I've got the 2006. Monitor is great. Don't buy it or not buy it because of that.
They should also be in the manual with the codes to turn them on. I think it is pretty much just a list in the back. Handwritten maybe? been a while since I've looked.
You do realize that Haas has a pretty strange way of rating their power right? The machines are rated differently than every other machine on the market which is why I responded with a more tongue...
Just see if they can send you a different sticker that says 30 horsepower:D
It's "haaspower" that they rate them by anyway...
Shutting off Power....? Hmmmm...I don't follow:drowning:
LOL - Lightly built eh? I just checked the weight of the new Mori 40" vertical vs my 2005 40" vertical Mazak and they are within a hundred pounds of each other.
Just for the record...I do not have any Haas 5 axis machines (nor will I ever).. We have a variaxis though. Also a Mazak 510 with a 4th and a Haas VF3SS. I've also ran VF2's through VF8's with 4th...
Pretty much a blanket statement that holds true here also...
"You can't really compare the Japanese machines with a Haas."
Haas has it's place...perhaps in this comparison it is price point. ...
Please tell me you are kidding.
If they don't...then they can go scrub toilets!(wedge);)
Loading programs via USB or RS232 will require the same naming and numbering format that Machinet described initially.
Steve...your programmer may benefit from reading the manual. FWIW modifying...
