Well said, Kenny.
Hi Everyone, I'm the guy named Jack that Tifab referred too. I'll give you my low down on my machine. As far as me posting a video saying how happy I am with my machine right after Aaron posted...
OK the side doors when swung open are 20 inches out from the side of the machine. The back of the machine is up to you wether you have room to pull it forward to take the back cover off to replace...
It seems nice and tight but I do not have anything to compare it to. I'm happy.
I manually do my coding. If I do use Fusion 360 then I tweak it. It's no big deal for me because I use the same code a lot. So it is stored.
I have no idea what your talking about. Why don't you give me the tapping g code example.
Hi guys I have some good news for you. The G95 code does work in the Skyfire VMC2 with the EC200 VFD controller. I've tried it at 200, 300, and 400 RPMs while tapping a 1/4"-20 thread and using a...
Thanks everyone for your help, the S400 and M03 above the M29 line was a big factor in the slowness for sure. With the M29 line the M03 is unnecessary. I had been using the S400 with the M03 with no...
Awesome Jan glad you'll be helping the guys out.
Jack
Thank you Jim for taking a look. I did not see anything either but another set of eyes is always a valuable asset. I agree it may be in the machine controller as a delay for all the stars to get...
Here you go. It's 8 holes tapping.

Hi, I'm doing some rigid tapping using the fanuc G84 code and was hoping someone could help me out. After tapping a hole it pauses for 3 to 4 seconds before moving to the next hole. Does not seem...
I agree with Olfcnc just buy a UCCNC and run it. I'm just referring to my experience. May work great for you for years. I used it on 3 CNC mills and 2 plasma tables and a lathe and it was a great...
Actually it's not. USB connect disconnect issues. I've used it for a year and that's another reason I went with Centroid. UCCNC worked OK for awhile. then started having issues with it on 2...
If I where starting over I would go Centroid acorn setup. You have to go with windows 10 which is no big deal, it works fine. It will be ethernet plug in reliability and won't depend on a PC...
Hi sorry, Too busy at the moment.
I finally figured it out. In the setup is a thing that's called "British". and it was "NO" Made it "YES" just to try it and it worked. British what the heck. How about Imperial units like the...
Thanks, I've watched it a few times, in fact I've probably watch every Skyfire video on the planet in the last year a few times.
Update: I have everything working great except I can not figure...
It's really a hard question to answer without somebody that is well versed in both to give an unbiased opinion. Besides just getting familiar with either one, one of the main differences is that the...
RX8 your more than welcome to come check it out. I'm usually around most days. PM me for my number.
Jack
Just a bit over 1.5". I used 1.5 inch wide steel rec. tubing. I had to pry up a bit because the pallet was a bit bowed under it but they go through fine. Just go slow as it's really heavy.
Here's some video of the unboxing and getting it off the pallet. Do not use a ramp, this is much safer. Just jack it up, slide the pallet out, install the wheels and incrementally lower it. I...
OK Guy's it's here. Finally arrived this morning about 11:30, couple hours early, imagine that. Here's a couple pics of it in the garage. Need to get it off the crate and wheels on to get it in...
I second the Motion, I want to see some too, I've always been curious.
Ian, 5884 comments and you've never even made a part on your Skyfire. Have you ever made any parts on anything? Just curious, not judging. C'mon I know your messing with us, show us some pics.
No, I paid it today and it gets delivered tomorrow between 1 and 2 PM. About $1200 was what I expected until the Feds decided they needed some extra cash. Nothing you can do, you get 1 day to get it...
Well just got the call that the Skyfire is out of the Custom Met exam. Just got the bill too. I'm going to post it here just so you can see how messed up this BS is, like "Clean truck fee" and...
Actually he's running the 4650 Adtech 5 axis controller, same as mine. Not the Syntec unless he's changed it in the last few weeks. Same problems that everyone has, leaks, rigid tapping g-code...
Hi Guys, well hopefully now we can all get back on topic as this is a Skyfire owners and interested parties thread. I should finally be getting the VMC-2 this week as I was told by my customs broker....
The reason they don't show the drivers is because they have pictures of Clearpath servos and their drivers are built in. It was kind of a mistake on their part in the ad picture.
