Anyone? Still looking for 2.0. I have 1.46 and 2.2 if anyone needs them
bringing this post back since there are a few of you with Dyna Mills. I have a 3116 as well. Monitor was out, but its a simple VGA cable, so I bought a LCD panel off ebay. Machine worked for about a...
most likely. sometimes when they go bad they make an internal feedback loop and latch themselves
easy test, swap the trigger wire from X and Z and trigger them and see if it persists on Z or if it moves to X. That will tell you if its in the switch and wiring, or the BOB.
find an old granite surface plate. epoxy in anchors and build from there. theres a 48x96x12 table local to me for $500 that i plan on doing this with, but leaving 2ft of the end of the table bare to...
Good to know. Im so used to the O controls the 6 is a little odd to me.

Well that gets me a little closer i guess. Still gonna have to write down decriptions but now i can see whats in the memory. Thanks...
Ok the Big Nakamura (as i call it) has been working great. only real issue Ive found is there is no Program List. On the OT control I can see a list of the programs in memory, but on the 6T there is...
bummer. i took my whole control pendant apart to clean it out, it was full of chips. it could have been something else but the RAM trick fixed mine. Your software is quite a bit newer than my V2.2.
Thanks captain obvious ^^
not sure on Bobcad, i do all my design work in Turbocad (where i can switch it in properties from a solid to shell with one click) and then just import it into bobcad for tooling. check properties in...
looking at building something this size, youre gonna need to start with either a large slab of granite and bolt guides onto it, or build a large metal base and pour concrete into it. Moving gantry...
the revolve will make a shell most of the time, can you slice the bullet or subtract another 3d feature from the bullet to make sure its a solid and not a shell?
i had the same issue with mine for a short time. the RAM had worked loose. Try taking the ram out of the main board, blowing out the connectors, and then reseating the RAM. wiggle it back and forth a...
Hi guys, picked up a Dyna EM3116 from an auction. Worked fine after fixing a few small issues, then crashed. I was able to get software from another Dyna owner, but the versions are a little...
OFFICIALLY running parts. Thanks for the help guys!! Just need to figure out how to enable the cycle start with the chuck open to use my bar puller.
did a little more messing around with the machine a few nights ago. heres what i figured out so far.
I measured all my tools off the face of the turret using a Z setter and the spindle nose. all...
im also looking for TMC-15 params. i know this is an old thread. Ill post a picture and serial number tomorrow if anybody can help!
ahh makes sense with calling the tool with no offset, then adding the offset on the first move. ill have to try that.
on that note, whats the main difference between using a g50 and setting X and...
And yes, if I call a tool, T0101 and have the offsets set like a standard lathe with large values, the tool will immediately move to the programmed zero point from where the offsets were measured....
Bill, your example appears to be what was in the machine from some of the older programs in memory. I guess ill have to put a whiteboard by the machine to write all my offsets down since I do mostly...
I dont have any code made for this machine, the only code I have any example of is what was stored in the old program memory for the machine. Next time im over there ill remember to copy some down....
ok for anyone following, turns out when i took the encoder off to swap it between motors, i needed to reset the commutation angle. easy to do in the motor tuning. works great now!
Mike, ya its weird why they would do that. it messes up my I and K for arc vectors something terrible! its already hard enough to do the math sometimes as is. plus finding a post that works correctly...
Ok I have everything working so far, minus one Mitsu drive, and getting the outputs to work. I have 2 Aries drives working, all my limits and homes are working fine. My issue now is getting outputs...
also what is a FAPT?
Mike I think I have the tool change stuff figured out, need to use a G50 with the tool change to move the coordinate system. Im gonna try to do the reverse this weekend, the X on the jog wheel is...
Back again. Ok so my Kitamura OMB is still down, waiting on Servo RAM Chips, my Nakamura TMC-15 is down with a blown spindle drive, so Im messing with my other machine (thank god my Lancer is still...
