It'll depend on how many holes you need to drill...and what codes your machine wants. They've got the basic cycle codes for spot, peck, etc. I'd make them all points and use a drill. Highlight...
You can open the .dxf file and "save as" .iges.
Are you looking for drilling cycle codes?

I'm using Ver.19 so this may not be exactly the same, but if you go under FILE then SETUP you can change the extension to whatever suits your machine.
Hope that helps.
Good luck!

Aw...memories...the first CNC I ever saw, programmed, operated and got frustrated enough to kick was an Acroloc...those were the days...
If you haven't seen it...catch Zumanity (a Cirque du Soleil show)...fantastic!
Type out the text you wish to use...select the text and the circle, choose "Fit text to path" under the Dimensions menu.
I'll, most likely, be there on the Wednesday, the 6th...no booth, just cruisin'.
Mmmmmmotorcycles....dirt and street...fun stuff ;)
I use a Fagor controller, maybe I can help?
I've been using BobCAD for years and it's worked well for me. (The parts we make with it are 2D.) I haven't had many problems with the program nor have I had trouble getting help from tech support...
Hey guys - I really appreciate the suggestions and am slowly but surely taking a look at the demos. I don't expect anything to be completely flawless, I'm just looking for something to take some of...
I'm searching for an easy to use, decently priced (less than $1,000) program that I can use to convert a common picture/jpg to a line drawing that I can then use for tool paths. I've been searching...
Has anyone tried BobART yet? Whatcha think?
I'm curious about BobART - let us know how it works!

I didn't know if this would be of interest to anyone, but Solidworks is offering a free seminar/training program along with a free personal...
What I've heard is that Version 19 will have at least one more patch coming out...I don't know what that one will "fix" yet though...and I haven't heard anything about including the ability to...
No, it doesn't.
We use a vacuum from Becker pumps. Also, ultralight MDF works really well as a spoilboard...there's maybe a .02 skin on either side that once removed allows for quite a bit of flow through.
Good...
Why doesn't this surprise me....I think I know these guys.
Without the help of other software (raster to vector) the only thing, I believe, you can do is paste the scanned image onto a drawing as an object...using "sketch points" you can approximate the arcs...
I believe if you register ahead of time (before March 19, I think) then it's free. As for which day to go...take a look at the website and see what's going on...and register online while you're at...
The only thing I can see is that you've got double entities, which is probably why your program doesn't get further. I don't know the program you're using, but if you can do something along the...
Boy, it seems like there's a lot of interest here (me too!)...is there a way for him to post the file so he doesn't have to email everyone individually? Otherwise he's going to be a busy man.
In BobCAD/CAM you have the option of writing the program in absolute or incremental (in the setup on the CAM side) - nothing changes about the drawing...it seems like this has been the case with...
I downloaded the patch and now my computer freezes when I try to print - anyone else having this problem?
Send an email to Chris (CNCdude) directly - he's pretty quick about getting back to [email protected]
Sounds like you're just holding the paper upside down...I'm kidding. I haven't heard this one - they were having some printing issues, but I thought this was taken care of in the last patch. Have...
