I second that question, plus did you make the cylinders/valves yourself?
I'm looking into making some low pressure hydraulics (ie less than 10 bar) but i don't really know where to start :)
here's the robot in action.
I don't have any clips of the router though...
Eheh, that it could do :D
Should of thought of that earlier, could've helped me :(
;)
Hi all,
It's been a while since i've been here, I've had loads of projects on my hands with school and all that.
Anyway, tomorrow i've gotta present my graduation thesis to a jury, and i just...
Well, it's working..Here's a clip i made last week testing X and Y axis with a ballpoint pen.
Since then i've added Z-axis drivers, a dremel, and a full-grown router :D
It works, however...
yeah this was just some design I made a few weeks ago just fooling around with rhino, so it probably isn't all that good, but I was just testing how to export/ import with rhino and sheetcam.
Thanks...
Yeah, there's a Make2D command, so i've just discovered.
Thanks for the help !
Okay.. so how do i do that? :D
feel like such a noob right now..
EDIT: i allready found it.. thanks ger, you just saved me another two weeks of headaches (chair)
Okay guys, I give up.. i need help :drowning:
I've downloaded a copy of sheetcam (thx for the suggestion btw Ger21)
but i'm having nothing but trouble getting this thing imported..
When i do...
Hi guys,
first of all, i'm a little confused..
I'm using Rhino to design a robot for my thesis, and the parts are to be cut on my router.
These parts are simple geometrical forms cut from a slab...
I have used fast type diodes, but i think the problem was caused on an older board. The L297 came from a pcb a friend made some time ago, which didn't have any flyback diodes, and since the problem...
Yeah, had to get out the oscilloscope on this one.. for one reason or the other the direction pin didn't pull low decently, must have blown something inside...
replaced it and it works now.
Found the problem.. L297 dead, will only turn in one direction for some reason..
so switching one phase around should help?
I'll give it a try.
Oh btw, when i wire the motor in parallel (using the center tap and both coil wires) it doesn't do anything? is that possible?...
Hi guys,
I've got a little problem driving a stepper motor.
It's a 4H5618, google came back with some examples but i'm using a 12V one instead of the 24v one.
The driver i'm using is from this...
That will simplify things a lot...
I'll give it a go, it just might be enough for what i need!
Thx buscht!
Lol, no actually the gameboy is my DSO, got one of those elektor cartridges.
If you ever get the chance to pick one of these up, don't hesitate!! That thing has prevented multiple...
10 thou would be great, but i'm actually not being too optimistic about that.
I think there's going to be some play in the Z-axis, i can't give an exact reason, i just have this strange feeling... ...
Actually it's this huge bureau my dad got for free which he usually uses for painting his miniatures, so he's not to happy with me stealing his workspot :p
I did a little testrun with some...
Hi all.
After scrounging the forum for several months and tinkering around for a while, i finally got something to show.
Background: Since i'm a student I don't have huge funds to build a plasma...
MrBean, i'm not quite sure what you mean by racking? Sideways movement of the gantry due to pressure exerted by the router?
I'm sorry but my english isn't my native language :violin:
Anyway,...
Slight *kick* and a little movie of what i've got so far..
Keep in mind it's ultra ultra low budget before laughing though pls :D
Hi guys,
This is my first post on this forum, so first of all I'd like to say hi  :D
Well me and a friend have been talking about building a CNC router for about a year and a half now,...
