just brought a 100watt Chinese laser cutter (80 w) with a fault on one of the axis machine was cheap £100 and local I have the dongles for the machine but no software
so my choices are...

So quick Kitchen table test and have coms with vfd with new rs485 to usb so that would seem to be problem now just need to set up on the mill

their won't be any reply from the vfd as although serial data is showing that there is no data package being sent to the vfd live data via the scope of the rs twisted pair shows no data on...

using mach 3 with parallel port connected with optical board to drives from arc Euro trade
motor controlled with board from cnc4pc to inverter drive works fine for what I do
