I would like to post a real big thankyou to Neilw20 for the assistance he has provided me in getting my X3 running again.
I would also like to mention Syil. I sent a number of emails to Syil China...
Very impressive, but it looks like it could cost more than the machine.
Do you have prices for this?
Anyone got details of an enclosure to suit a X4 (save me having to think one up!)
Neil,
I removed the board and had a good look around, but I could'nt see any damages tracks.
I have attached two close up shots on the LED remains.
Neil,
It's not a pretty sight!!!!
Thanks Neil,
I will get the information later today.
Do you know the green LED specification by any chance? When I had the front panel off I touched the globe contacts on the casting and blow up...

I currently have BobCam Mill v21, I thinking of buying a C6 CNC, however I'm reluctant to spend AUD2,000 on BobCam Lathe, this is like buying half the machine again!!!
Can anyone recommend good...
The problem I had was related to Bobcam. In the tool menu I input the plunge and feed values without using the letter 'F', consiquently in the tap file I was getting Z-0.420 instead of Z-0.4, also...
Ramax,
I think I have sorted things out now.
Thanks anyway.
Martin
Moldmker,
Now we have finished our English lesson, I thought I would share what I believe was the problem.
In the "tool setup" I had the feed and plunge values as just a figure ie. feed 50, plunge...
Has anyone got a resent Mach 3 post processor to suit an X4 Mill?
Martin
Moldmker,
I have run one more file, but this time I used the post processor that I previously have been using (Mach3), different result.
I think the last one I did was for a Fanuc (I stuffed up)....

Thanks for your help.
Martin
Moldmaker,
I have done an BobCad upgrade from 21.5.2 to 21.5.3 which appears to have fixed the problem.

I'm having problems with cutting holes central to the rest of the job. See attached photo.
The problem is only in the Y direction, I can cut any shape but a hole cuts off centre.
The attached photo...
I'm considering purchasing a C6.
Would anyone like to post the Pro's and Cons of this machine?
I currently own Super X3 and a X4Plus, so I'm quite conversent with Syil prodicts and what I can...
Food for thought, I built my stand not only for the X4+ but also to house a tool box.
Four wheels with jacking screws onto machine mounts, it is an easy job to wheel out the machine for cleaning.

I have attached 4 photo's of a X4plus machining a clock escapement wheel.
25mm dia. 30 teeth
Material is Ti 1.1mm thick.
1mm dia. tc endmill, 0.2mm per depth of cut @ 2200RPM 30mm/min feed rate...
Looks really good, have you used a pnuematic rattle gun for the drive or is it a special motor?
To use the same system on a X4+ it would require the motor to be raised and lowered to engage the...
I'm making escapement wheels for clocks, any size larger than 50mmx 50mm x 1mm (2"x2"x0.40"thick) would be fine.
If you have any, let me know the cost and postage and how I can make a payment to...
