Check out Open Builds C-Beam less than 1k
I can't find the dimensions for the X, Y and Z axis brg assembly, 140 pages of info, I know I have missed it, Would someone please link me to these assemblies.
TIA
Haven't lurked on here for some time, but the need to start my DIY CNC is here.
I will be mainly using it for fabing acrylic parts and was wondering if this 36v PS 2A on PMinMO site will be...
nice job. What kind of power supply are you using for the new build? Looks small and compact, not too spendy was it? I'd like to get one.
Hi Everyone,
I have been lurking on this post off and on and finally decieded that I want to build this controller.
Does anyone have a silkscreen with all the part numbers on it? Have tried to...

I'm more of a visual person - so if you just for ie: you have two motors, the cables or wire running to both should be twisted together as far out to the motors as possible? Right?
sorry -...
Thanks for the info, Phil. Will do.
Hi guy's
I'm a little confused on this - "10x's the voltage of the motor".
The motors that I plan on using are these http://www.kelinginc.net/KL23H286-20-08B.pdf and will be using Phil's 4x...
Nicely done. great work. Do more. I'm learning as I type.
The commentary is good, maybe speak up a little more - I have the volume up and it's kind of hard to hear you.
Good job thanks for...
The motor is rated to 3a and the pic bd is Bipolar 3A 55VDC sholud work.
I will be using the pic step and the 4 axis interface with these motors http://www.kelinginc.net/KL23H286-20-08B.pdf

Thank you for your help. On that wiring for the 2nd PS, I'm already ahead of you. Need to practice on soldering again.
Thanks again for the help. Now I just have to decide...
Forgot to include this

But you are correct the main power plug is on the bottom. Simple AT PS. So you think it'll still startup...
Well, I guess now I'm screwed. Since I have cut the connectors off, I don't know which is/was pin 14.

They are AT's. The pix if from one of the site used for reference. But has that same cable to the right of the colored wires. It went to the front of the PC case that I salvaged the PS from -for...
Hi guy's,
I've gone thru these two links: http://www.procooling.com/index.php?func=articles&disp=52&pg=2 and http://www.antennex.com/preview/archive3/powers.htm and have modded my two PC...
Maybe parts of this thread can be put into a "Newbie" forum and all beginner - future CNC'ers can read and be directed there. There is a L O T of information here on this site, but it's spread out...
Indy
Kind of thought so - thanks for the input
Joe - pls send me the updated dwgs

Just a crazy idea, but you could always laminate it with thinner MDF or even aluminum.

Thanks, but it'll be sometime when I get started. I like to do all the info gathering and spec finding before I start. On the motors, I want the biggest that I can "use" and not be under...
rippersoft- thanks. Got a pix of your machine?
Thank you guy's for the help. The reason for the "big" motors as I don't want to under power myself. The material will be 99% acrylic and 1% alum.
I was gonna to use these on the first...

I went to the Keling site http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showpost.php?p=149485&postcount=8 and found this motor 4: NEMA 34 HIGH TORQUE STEPPER MOTOR 637 oz-in, ½” shaft with a flat, 80 mm...
Thanks guy's
Jerry- which motors did you get and what interface/driver are you using?
rippersoft - Which motors are you using, for which axis and which interface and drivers are you using??
...
Just wondering if anyone using these steppers by kelinginc ? http://www.kelinginc.net/ Wanted to use pminmo 4axis interface bd and his drivers too, what do you think?
Is there any advantage of...
The first will be a variation of jgro's http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6054 , then 2nd will be like Joe's 2006, cutting mostly acrylic "rounds" ie flanges and lids form .250 to .500...
Phil
Thank you for your time to answer. What about the L297 Chopper Unipolar Driver - never mind you said bipolar  . Since I am in the planning stage and have not bought anything yet,...
Thank you - good catch I did not think of that (chair)
HI there,
Been lurking and reading for a little while. I have thought of doing my own boards from scratch. I've built a couple in the past.
On this site, Pminmo, he has several boards and...
Please :) do make some tutorials as I'm still a pre-noob :violin: to all this CNC "stuff".
