What CAD package are you using to model this with?
Does anyone know of any free software that will drive my minitech mill with windows 2000? I'm using a very old 98 version and I'd rather link up with m laptop...any suggestions?
Does anyone know if there is any free Mini-mill cnc software that I can drive my mill with Windows 2000? Currently I'm having to use 98 and it sucks!! I'd rather be able to link up to it with my...

I don't know anything about the controller but I can provide you with a post for it if you need it. Lemme know!

Grue,
I have a mini-mill here, (3-axis), and I need to put it to work. I don't know where to get Porsche drawings unfortunatley...but I have always wanted to build a miniature engine. So if you...
I've read a lot of threads about everyone's projects and was wondering if maybe you guys would be kind enough to share your ideas, drawings, or 3D models of some of these projects. A couple that I...
debutis,
I have a 3-axis mill here on my desk collecting dust. If you had an accurate drawing I could mill it out for you in a jiffy. Normally I would take your drawings and ceate a solid model to...
yukonho,
GibbsCAM does not provide demo versions of their software....where are you located at? I would be more than happy to find a reseller in your area to show you GibbsCAM capabilities.
As far as the new manuels, We will be getting the following:

Advanced Milling
Getting Started
Plug-in guide and

goulyd,
Are you still using the Mac version of Gibbs? If so, coming across a working Mac Post for this particular machine is going to be next to impossible. All of Gibb's MTM are custom built...
I downloaded the trial version and it works pretty good, the only drawback is that it doesn't work for Lathe parts....any suggestions?
P.S. Thanks Hardmill, this is going to be a great help for now...you MasterCAM guys are all right in my book!!! hehe
Yes I went to the 2004 rollout in Wisconsin, I'm really excited about all the enhancements...But I feel that the option I'm speaking of would be awesome to those who read G-code as well as others...
Rekd,
Could you give me an example of where I can find one?
Thanks!!
Is there a trick or a legitimate way to run a cut part render and watch the G code at the same time? I have a desk top Mini-mill that will run the program while simoultanousley displaying the G-code...

GG,
Turbine asked where ya been..... I got $20.00 that says golf was one of the activities, racing or building engines is another....
SO.......................?
Thanks GG!! You the Man!!
Yeah, that is the hard way of doing things, but consider how far CNC Software has come and maybe, if we all wait long enough, those prices will go down much like computers and cell phones did after...
Turbine,
As far as MTM is concerned, every machine is different. If you don't have an MDD that is machine specific, you will wind up crashing everything. You will have to get the full blown MTM...
Gibbsgod, I think they dropped the version numbers to follow autocad 2004, or maybe both? Doesn't matter. I have to admit, after talking with you and other guys from Gibbs, I think this is going to...
cadcam,
Yes, things are alot better now, (took a few days off), I apologize to anyone I may have offended.
Although I may be a reseller, I'm also here to learn more about GibbsCAM. I'm...
Ok, This is the Virtual Gibbs section, right?
Maybe it's just me, but, thanks to 2 flute,
I think that there should be a Seinfeld section created for people who get off on a rabbit trail...
Gibbsgod,
You make it sound as if you already have v7. I'm also a reseller of GibbsCAM and even I don't have it yet. What connections do you have?
