I had this happen as well in testing, when my scaling factor was set to more than 1.
"drive down to bottom of z axis" , set scale back to 1:1 and it was ok
I will try to find out how to "script"...
Just set this up using Greolt's code above *Thanks :) , and one the more recent versions of mach3 ver. 3.043...
I had to change the PlateThickness variable to look at OEMDRO(1001) to return the...

Im pretty sure I have the specs. Are you after encoder wiring or motor wiring?
Thanks Al,
These drives came off a Decomissioned HP machine used for making ink cartridges, but I have no Idea on specifics of that original machine.
I have purchased a couple of DC Servo's with encoders, also included was the matching drives. But I cannot identify them, they have PHOENIX CONTACT written in the DIN mounts, but I think thats only...
I have not been posting much progress lately but I have been working at it. The electronics were quite a learning curve to fab up some circuitry. Anyway's! Here is my stab at a bar sign as a gift...
I started this same search some time ago and I ended building the circuit to achieve it, the circuit was based on the jrkerr picservo sc and works beautifully with external driver amps. Just do a...
I have tried this method many many times. The more often my z changes direction the more it drops. I would love to simply add a command to mach3 somewhere to simply say add +0.001 every direction...
Using Mach 3 my Z axis drops over time, I have read a million posts and tried a million different software settings to no avail. Does Anyone know of a setting in Mach to set an incremental step...

Well, summer time lots of beer, camping. reading reading reading. Ive been putting my efforts into learning and making my servo/stepper contollers, tearing apart dead computer powersupplies and...
Thanks Al,
After writing that I hooked allencoder wires up to my scope and tested each wire and found out exactly the same thing. (guess I should have started with that)
Its not a T after all just...
Im stuck and need some help! ive got some servo controllers built using the Picservo-sc chips, however I am having a hard time understanding how to make the servo encoder connecections. the chip...
I havent gotten electrocuted yet!
I did end up taking the rails into the machine shop, it cost me 80 bucks, but well worth it seeing as how I couldn't even grind the end of these rails. I had them drill and tap 1/4 inch holes for...
Shopping.... ebaying... electronics... power supplies...servo amps....hardware.... shipping.... parts.... parts.... parts..
I gotta go mow my lawn pretty soon before my wife kills me.
Well, Im...
My Rails came from VXB as well, I did take everything apart and took it into the local machine shop to have them drill and tap them for me, they did a perfect job, 1/4 inch standard threads, I used...
What drives an Analog velocity signal in a servo amp?
Can this be done directly from the computer, Program an IC?
or otherwise?
How do I deal with the motor encoder outputs to drive an analog...
After thinking about these rail flex issues. I figure that a simple machined hole tapped and threaded into the rails midpoint then mounted down through the steel frame and bolted will solve any...
Progress. Gantry made while our 18 month old was chatting online , he colored my flat panel with crayon and pen, little eaten crayon bitties all over my desk and cola in my keyboard, (no.. it doesnt...
I now have some servo's (2) and some steppers (2). some linear rails (ouch on the pocketbook) and a single servo amp, I'll need to hunt down another. hopefully I can make these things all work...
I've picked up a couple of these Servo's, these seem large enough on the surface. Can anyone tell me whether these brusless servo's will be appropriate for driving my X-Y axis ?? I assume from what...
I had a similar query, I sent the model # to Electrocraft's email, they were kind enough to scan in the product's spec sheet and email back. Very helpful, I got the customer support email...
Im having a hard time sourcing some good linear rails / bearings for my x and y axis. Does anyone have some expertise to share regarding these units. What is the best product for the job on a...
Firstly, Hats off Coogrr,
You seem very close to finishing, I have definetly appreciated reading all your documentation, posts and posted videos. I do intend on following along in your footsteps...
