Hi Henrik,
I appreciate the reply. Looking at it, looks like I have to abandon the idea unless I can:
1. Add a freq multiplier
2. Use a Logic level MOSFET (expensive!)

Hi,
Can someone confirm if the Mach3 PWM ouput from the parallel port can be used to drive the Mosfet to control the spindle speed?
My idea is like below.. Need to add a speed sensor for...
I am using Nema 23 KL23H-276-30-8B motor wired in parallel.
I set the current at 3A with 3k resistor. The power supply is 48VDC.
Today, I ran the G540 to cut a 6mm polycarbonate to make a bracket...
I have my G540 installed and it is running now..
WHen do we adjust the trim and how? (I know we use the small driver to turn the preset inside).
I'd call it "CICAK"
congratulations to all winner!!
anyhow, can't wait for the cheap drives to roll out....
Mariss,
just curious, I am currently using L297/8 based driver and the "vibration" sound produced when...
My count is 119
Completed mine.... but not using the PIC... since I already have the MPG...

Next project is building the Control pendant for my CNC...
I now have a milling table made out of 16mm alluminum plate and holes are 40mm apart and threaded. I also have the holding clamp made from...
I think it's best to stay with a ready assembled and tested item. After all, not all CNC hobbyist is good in electronics. As mentioned, offering as a kit consumes a lot of time... packaging and also...
Mariss,
Everything about this drives is really a brilliant idea.
Question,
1. How soon will it be available in the market?
2. Is is going to sold as a complete package (enclosure, MOBO &...
Just for thought..
Can we eliminate the use of keyboard and mouse in Mach 3 and just control all by pendant??
I assume it may not be possible as we need to load the files.
As for the...
Way too cool!!
All I care now is, when is the shipping? Are you taking any pre-order yet?
Keep up the good work!!
Cheers!
abasir,
dude, because of you, lot's of mouse get slaughtered by people in cnczone...LOL!!!
Good job bro! Yesterday night, I caught one mouse and rip the guts out. It can be used but I did not...
Besides ebay, where else can we buy a replacement ball? I need to replace the ball for the ballscrew on the X-axis of my machine.
My machine had finally did it first trial run. I ran the Roadrunner G code and engrave on a polycarbonate plate... What a joy seeing my first machine.... I love this hobby!!! Thanks to CNCZONE!!! But...
received the motor standoff and mounted the motor on where it should be... coupling will arrive in 3-4 days time... gotta do the wiring for the limit & home switches. Also the E-stop switch.
...
A little update... completed the driver which I bought from Phil (pminmo) and installed the ballscrew.
Got the ball screw over the weekend. Also found a new cable tractor (or whatever it is called):):):)
Will send the ball screw to the machine shop to turn down the journal to fit the bearing block.
Hello Keven,
Thanks for the explanation. I'll look forward to you link.
At the moment, I can only use 12mm screw for the Z axis as the space for the lead nut is limited.
Hi guys..
I am going to look for a ball screw for my router. I have not purchased the motor yet but I want to complete the ball screw first before moving on to the motor.
1. I am thinking of...
LOL... sorry for the misunderstanding... I am referring to a automation machine junkyard.... hahaha...
p/s.. not only cars end in the junkyard...:)
vcooney,
Unfortunately, I have no tools or machines. So I have to send my drawings to a friend of mine who runs his own machining shop. I design and draw all the parts that I need then send it to...
Latest update.. The Z axis assembly without the lead screw and lead nut.
Still sourcing for stepper motor and lead screws..
...
look cool... and very neat too... mine is still a long way to go..

Latest progress of my cnc router. All plates are 15mm thickness. So far, the structure is rigid. You may notice one profile is missing. This is because the profile length I bought is only 5m and it's...
Solidworks have my vote... I taught myself to use Solidworks.
But that's only to design/model my CNC router which is now under construction. By end of next week I should be able to post some...
This is my Leadnut. I plan to use delrin for it. The width is 50mm and the slit is 3mm wide. I am using 12mm acme, 2mm pitch. I use double row A/C bearing for the Acme mounting block (driven side),...
