Ditto. I feel on my x3 speeds are more limited to the tolerances of the machine then my nema 23 and 34 stepper motors. If your going to have the expense of servo's, i would recommend getting a...

Life comes first, this is just a hobby. Sorry to hear- seems to be real common lately...
i ran my x3 at 4k rpm for about a year and cooked the bearings. It was NOT worth the massive headache imo
good call- seemed like with a moving table instead of a moving z/y assembly it wouldn't be much more $ or work to go with your new design and you gain a lot of rigidity

Little bit of a nightmare here:
1) spindle broke-
several months later, spindle fixed.
2) weird computer errors were ruining a lot of good parts-

care to share your ideas about the refrigeration compressors? they arn't pumps, they are small engines so they won't move liquid. but you could pretty easily build a chiller that cools the coolant :)
if you buy it used and take care of it, you can tap all your holes and re-sell it for about what you paid for it.
hello!
My computer is dying and i think a lot of problems im having are caused by it. I replaced it with a not-new dell, but was wondering whats the best way to save all my settings in mach 3 on...
you should be able to create cnc profiles/contours with the geometry in the cam module not cad, it would save time when importing .dxf et cetera
hello! back again.
