Hi Marcus,
ping?
Marcus,
Happy New Year!
Any progress with schematics?
may be handwritten piece would be faster?
Marcus, any luck with schematics?
Marcus,
Is it possible to get the schematics of REV4 board (at least the part near the LTV846 optocouplers)? I've got two units which move the mill (so the part around drives work), but fail with...

back to cycloid drives, I've put 1st stage animation together, enjoy:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oussNksQ6UM
hub is about 2 inch in diameter, 36:1
here is my hub. milled with a single set-up for accuracy...

galil can't work with linux, right?
mesa 5i20 should work for you, drivers for EMC2.
You should consider cooling of your Y motor... There is no airflow around it.
Take a look here. Key part is Schmitt trigger 7414 in SOT case:

Here is my mill design from rectangular tubing -- 120x60mm mostly.
Travels are 400mm for X any Y, 200mm for Z. 4-5-6 axis are design choices, don't need them all in real machine :)
For your...
it is possible to have belt driven rotary table with almost no backlash... The problem is it will not provide much torque for heavy milling and if you use a stepper, number of steps on rotary table...
No, this way you can only burn them...
On the detector side you daisy-chain detectors from input1 (it is 2k resistor pull-up to +12V) to ground. '+' should be closer to 'input1'.
On the emitter...
I've added simple tolerance check for hypocycloid plotter.
here is my reducer again... now with thrust bearings :)
don't have access to CNC mill, so it will stay virtual unless someone picks it up... :) anyone?
Mariss, thanks for such detailed answer!
Really appreciate your work.
Mariss,
Some early schematics of "chip drive" showed that inputs of G540 are pulled up to 12V.
What happens if I connect TTL/CMOS output to such input (i suppose current G540 has the same pull)?...
Do you have a drawing for #80 frame size?
80# 550W 6000RPM DC300V with shipment to Moscow, Russia :)
Would you sell motor alone, without electronics?
yes. Sorry to bring it up.
Mariss, simple charge-pump is a capacitor to filter DC, rectifier and integrator. (I guess you are aware of it :), thus by tuning the integration time it is possible to get near linear 0->3.3v...
Mariss,
I've come to the idea, that to implement "morphing of microstep to fullstep" it is enough to put charge-pump on STEP and mix it into the same ASIN/BSIN -- no need to touch CPLD at all?
I know there the switch is, problem with G540(one of the two) is that in position shown on the picture charge-pump switches controller on with constant "1" on pin 16, not the >10khz signal as...
