Mike i know where the problem lies.
If you look in a mirror you too will see the problem, remember this thread...
After trying the CNC2 i decided that it was very poor, use Mach3 now and very happy.
So any problem i would put down to the controller

With the parting tool upside down mounted at the rear you do not need to run in reverse.

A request for a how to on a MANUAL MILL
Kit needed a MOTORIZED Rotary table with a known speed, and a manual mill with an infinitely adjustable precision Z axis feed
Phil
Ed is correct the Z has to move in sync with the rotary table.
The only way to accomplish this is to connect the rotary table via gearing "THE CORRECT GEARING" so as you turn the rotary table the...

There is an XML file editor on the Mach3 forum that you could have used to undo your damage. :D
But you didn't ask
Phil
Have you heard of the expression If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It :D
Id take a look in PORTS & PINS and check you have homing enabled on the correct pin.

Hi Eddie
Glad you are almost there. There is a bug apparently when using Mach3 with PWM it is documented on page 3 of the member doc PWM Spindle Control as i said you must be logged in to view.
...
The problem as I say is the small diameters. A company that makes watch parts would be a good place to start looking for.
You would need a high speed spindle definitely and diamond tools probably....
Hi, I am a toolmaker working in a shed with better than average machines, what I am saying is that I would struggle to make those parts.
Copper is a very difficult material to work with.
So I...
Eddie
Do you actually know what speed its running at.
Mach says 2000 you have S1000 but you need to measure with a tacho to know what it is.

It's perfectly safe to hold a smaller chuck in a larger chuck.
You are only machining wood after all
Holding a chuck with a morse taper is a bad idea unless you are using a drawbar

Something doesn't quite add up there.
OneCNC is a Solidworks partner so that doesn't seem right
