I mean, metals with almost the same chemistry behaves differently when done under some processes, and an example of their different behavior is corrosion level.
I would like to ask some help from you guys. Why same chemistry steel from different supplies of hot band , after it cold reduction with Q&T behaves differently , at times lead higher corrosion - any...
Wohoo! That’s scary! Haha..Been there, man!
A portable saw is what you need. This is my saw :

And this is the site where I bought it: Band Saw Links
This saw is just awesome! And this...
How did you know?
Just like what Dpark said.
This blog might help you in cutting Inconel 718: How to Best Cut 718 Iconel | BandSawBlogBandSawBlog .
I have to agree to both: that the best source for machine parts and raw materials is the local scrap yard; and that your editing program stinks. Lol.
I guess those contaminants contained in tap water are not enough to start for a reaction to the coolant. But it is always better to be safe. Thanks for the advice.
I was thinking the same.
What’s the difference when you use tap water in mixing than distilled?
You must have good blades in cutting 6” tubing metals. Where do you get yours? I absolutely have a good supplier for blades....
Thanks for the update Terry! I can exactly say the same thing with sawblade.com.
Cool machine! Awesome finish!
Thank you for the thorough reply. I can say that your innovation is one of a kind! I would surely contact your company through email if I have more questions. Thanks again!
What band saw part do you need to replace?
This is some good story to hear, Terry. Post me updates regarding the blade you ordered from sawblade.com.
Here’s another source for good quality and affordable coolants: BandSaw Repair, Band Saw Blades, Bandsaw Parts. They also carry the AF 2000 and AF 3000 coolants but are not present on their site....
Good luck with your work Terry!
I don’t have enough knowledge in using a cold saw either. I think all blades applied with coolants in whatever saw you’re using will likely last long. Break-in your new blade before cutting. Maximize...
Magnesium and aluminum have different densities but are almost the same in terms of their hardness/ softness. Now, if Smart Saw Technology detects the material’s density and then automatically...
I told you they’re going to call you back! An 8-12 pitch is good enough for thinner stuff but it shouldn’t be used with the thicker round bars. How many blades are you going to order?
No...
That’s why your blades dull quickly because of too much speed. A 3000 fpm is recommended only when you’re cutting wood. Slow down to the recommended speed for better cuts. It would be best to cut the...
Their sales rep know what they talk about. Maybe they’re trying to give the best blade for the size of stock you’re cutting but doesn’t meet the dimensions of your saw. They usually do call-backs to...
A sliding table with a clamp on it is a good idea. This would help you hold the stock and feed it with proper speed without harming your hands. As for the blade problems, I think the bi-metal blade...
You can try using a clamp for a firmer hold of the stock. This would help you straighten the cut even with manually feeding the material to the blade. Regarding the blade wandering problem, try to...
I thought you were needing a band saw machine that can cut aluminum round bars? Have you changed your mind? Well, if your old machine works enough for you, then there is no need to look for a new...
I have read somewhere that Carolina brand band saw machines has seized their manufacturing operations a couple of years ago. It would be hard to find original parts for that brand this days unless...
You will never experience greater cuts when you stick on cheap band saws. That’s why I never buy cheap machines unless equipped with quality. Try this Trajan saw: Utility Bandsaws for less . I think...
