I say go for it and chalk it up as a good learning experience! No harm done.
What is the make of that machine? Kinda looks like the older Harbor Freight mini mills but not quite the same.

I know most guys do belt drive conversion on these, but for the simple folk like me that don't plan on CNC conversion of their mill i wanted to let everyone know there is a metal replacement gear for...
The Gcode generated by SheetCam worked fine, until i installed the stuff from CandCNC, then nothing worked. Uninstalled Mach3 and cleaned it all off the computer, reinstalled Mach3 opened the same...
I will have to mention that to him, i gave up on the thing, havent been near it in almost a year now, and i don't think he ever really got it working. The computer is plenty of power for it, i7,...
I considered the G0602, the problem i have there is its 47.5" in length, the G4000 is 37", the weight i am not concerned about the bench i have will easily take two of them weight wise, the G0602 is...
Thats a big bonus on the threaded spindle, i was looking at that on the mini lathes in some youtube videos and that would drive me nuts!!
And ok on the belt. Well i think i made my decision,...
Very good info thanks! I was hoping someone with the G4000 would chime in. I was leaning towards it as well but the G0768 didn't look that bad, but i wasn't thinking about the speed vs torque...
Is the G0758 just the little sister of the G0704??
I'm interesting in it but there seems to be very little info out on the web for it. Does it have plastic gears? Does anyone know of a belt...
If this isn't the right place Mods feel free to move it, just seemed like this category is where all the small lathe talk is!
After about a year of watching Craigslist and auctions i've given up...
It's a fresh install of Mach3 and Windows, tried it on two different computers. There seems to be a problem with the CandCNC master installer. If i reinstall Mach3 and test it without their addons...
Ok here's the deal i'm trying to help a guy that owns a CandCNC Bladerunner, DTHCII, thats all i know it as because it doesn't say much on the darn things box.
They computer full out died a death...
Your welcome! Glad i could help out.
Being on the electronics side of the guru bench i will keep looking for a way to deal with the temp setting but i just need time to do it, and time is harder...
Great to hear that! I have two of these units now and love them!
It doesn't appear to save the set point when completely shut off, i checked over the control boards there doesn't appear to be any...
The back fan is powered off the Dehumidifier board, so once thats unplugged it and the air pump don't run, which is a good power savings to on the power supply because then the back TEC in that unit...
Ok, the second unit is now running and testing it. Seems to be working fine so far provided it reaches the set temp and maintains it, so far though so good!
The unit was described as showing...

Welcome!
By the looks of the tracking i should have my second unit tomorrow. It has a broken connector for the water line and keeps going into Watchdog, should be an interesting troubleshooting...
I found some on eBay that are just the ticket, made for 1/4" tubing with a barbed fitting and have the correct shut off style 1/4" fitting size.
2 New Colder Product CPC 1 4" Barbed Chrome Plated...
I was also playing with the dehumidifier section some more tonight... There is an air pump buried down near the bottom of the back half, i reconfigured the air lines so it comes in to the pump and...
Ok, I have been looking for another source since I will have another one coming to repair. Need to make a loop line for testing. I think I might use the second one if I can get it working to water...
Did you get your connectors ordered?
I grabbed another one of these chillers from CTR Surplus, offered $40 they wouldn't go below $50 but even at that price its a deal. I bought one that powers...
Darn.. guess I got lucky. They are available on eBay and Amazon as well, also McMaster Carr has them as well. Just search for PLCD connectors.

Same thing i ended up doing, just unplug the dehumidifier section then it doesn't even know it exists! Yes the manifold temp is the current output water temp, it has a sensor for the water after the...
I can produce that message if i put air through the inlet of the air fittings, maybe the switch is stuck? I used a rubber tipped air nozzle on my air compressor and pushed that tight to the inlet...
If you want to do more checks before your fittings arrive you can, i did on mine. Fill the reservoir with antifreeze in a 50/50 mix if you have any, otherwise just fill it with water, then turn on...
Yeah it looks like the seller is set to sell and ship to USA only.

Search for the seller lisa_ctrsurplus and have a look through their listings. I see 5 of the units still available for $74.95 plus shipping.
Its a nice filter on it, no worry about it sucking in junk. The connections to the water lines are really nice having those CPC fittings, lossless coolant connections if i need to unplug the lines...
This chiller has two 120mm fans, and its filtered... No worries. Its even a removable washable air filter on the fan input. And yes, they do kick out a fair amount of heat, but, as long as the...
