Hi Les,
Not able to help you much.
After converting Woodpecker board to the Arduino with a cnc shield some movement of axis was possible for 10 minutes & then stopped.
Subsequent inspection showed...
[QUOTE=winson2769;2229598]hi did you solve your problem?
I have replaced the Woodpecker board with an Arduino
& CNC shield. :devious:
Thanks John-100. As usual a picture is worth a thousand words!
Is there a simple test to check the choke without removing it?
WT
Does the choke (square grey component marked 470) solder to the PCB or push into a socket?
Thanks WT
Thanks hfjbuis for your various comments to help solve my problem.
As mentioned my original problem (stated in first post) needs to be solved first.
WT
Installed Arduino IDE. Selected port Com3 & proper baud rate.
Selected board as Arduino Uno (no woodpecker v.9 is shown in list to choose from)
I do not see an Arduino reset button?

Plan to change to V1.1
Anyone have other hints?
Status is reading "Port Opened" & will not allow Gcode to run or jogging.to be done.
Need status to read IDLE etc.
Command line in GRBL control shows lines of Gcode as sent, although when file is...
Hi Tom,
Yes, the transfer bearings on the underside of the torch plate do actually ride on the work surface.

Hi MecatronicsBoy,
Welcome to CNC Zone!
The software used to control the plasma table is MACH 3.
Thanks for your interest.

This 57 Chev DXF is a line drawing suitable for routing, etching, etc.
For plasma or laser, modifications would be required.
Six plus years & this table, with chain drives, continues to produce high quality results.

This treble clef might work on the sign.
Hi Dustin,
Yes, my machine is still up & running for artwork etc.
I have had some recent issues which have kept me away from it for a while.
Most of what I do would fit into a much smaller...
Dustin,
Looks as if you are back to having fun again!
A bad ground can bite your b**t :tired: even when everything else is set correctly.
Thanks for the update & enjoy your new Thermal Dynamics...
Dustin,
A skirt should be a good addition, to work as you suggest.
The sparks that skip sideways across the surface of material being cut are actually tiny metal particles. They certainly do...
