I have an application which is od grinding being done on an older relay logic machine. It has a rack and pinion table ocsilation, rotation of the spindle and advance of the grinding wheel as motion....

It could also be done with an EDM sinker. I agree though that most common way for production would be broaching.

I use a 1995 Torque22 with DX32 control and this is how it is done :
Go to the run screen, push key #7 for options then key #7 again for metric.
