    hi peter i dont mean i need space to put the drive between the rail
    i mean a 120mm shs is narrow to put two linear rail in the same face.

    Hi Ben - I think your using 20mm rails? So they would have a M5 screw. M5 nuts are 4.7mm thick so I'd use 5mm (or 6mm) strip so the thread was deep enough.
