Not sure why you need to try deflect my comment, in many posts here you're contradicting your self. I'm not being childish, but your indications that I am are indicative that you intact are.
I never sent you money, and you never sent me any back....not sure where you're going with that?
I'll respond to any post I see fit.
Customers? How can you have those? You're doing everyone a favor letting them buy through you, but now they are customers?
I would not buy from you, nor suggest anyone else does either.
This is just awesome...
Can't wait for a Ipad version of Hippo or Wifipad....

I'm with you 100% here. Gecko is great, I've yet to have a problem with any of my 9 G203v's and we see that if I did they stand behind their product.
I'll just make sure that my next purchase...
I'm just a bit shocked that the "unkillable drive" is quite killable.
I'm not sure why they even allow others to sell the product if warranty issues will be handled like this.
Makes me a tad...
Any chance they make a smililar model that uses an electric fan...
Joe's 4x4 Hybrid Plans.
Best DIY CNC router IMHO.
Do you have any engraving bits?
30deg with a .020 flat?
You'll pay shipping, and should not have to pay any duty or taxes like we do.
The 270's George is selling would work wonderfully with a G540! I would be putting the 425s on the machine. I seen it today looks great.

I'm just outside Guelph, I'm pretty sure we have talked on the vectric forums too. The mechanical side is not as hard as you think.

30k for a hobbiest? I built my hobby machine for less than a 1/3 of that and Its better build than any Gorilla machine out there. As far as the cost goes though I've worked on machines that cost...
Sad to hear that Gorilla is gone, but at least General is going to continue building machines.
For those who don't have warranty don't worry, your machines are not junk when and if they break,...
I'm a local hobby / small business CNC guy. If you're still looking for parts out of wood fell free to pm me... Although I can cut Aluminum, I prefer not to. I have a cutting area of 49" x 49".

I've built a Joe's Hybrid, many of the users there use the Hobby CNC setup and have a 48"+ cutting capacity on the gantry.
Not sure about going larger but with the proper gearing it would be...
Grandfathering HAS NOT been removed from our system, however it is allot harder to Grandfather a trade now. I know of more than one person that has Granfathered a trade in the past two years, one of...
I'm excited at the prospect of having an operational system that won't require a PC.
I'm excited to see both the Brain and Gecko's possible new G540 running / released.
I know my 4x4 Hybrid would love to test out some new systems.
Currently running 4x G203V

Dan the Hitachi is a great router, but their collets are not! Look in to getting some Precision Collets and nuts. I use a set from PreciseBits.com

I use a high end carpet tape, it's clear and has strings in it. Really hard to get off after wards.
I use the cheap stuff (all white) for holding down litho's and such.

The Machine is a Joe's 4x4 Hybrid (DIY machine built from plans) It's a Hitachi 2hp router. I run it at full (24,000rpm 6 on the dial) The engraving bit is a diamond drag bit from widget works, no...
30' is pretty long but I don't think it will be that hard to do with a R&P (Rack & Pinion system)
The only problem I can see is with loading. Would you want a full 30' in front of the bed or...
Here are two videos I made using my DIY router (Joe's 4x4 Hybrid Design) cutting aluminum.

I looked at motiontek.ca but their prices were to High for me. I found it was much cheaper to import most things from the USA.

Thanks BobF,
You really should try cutting Al, it can open a whole new variety of fun projects with a CNC router.
