Not sure of the size of the part or where you are seeing the mismatch but any errors in your machine will be doubled when you flip the part.
So if it is .010 out of square in a given length, it...
Is that a water cooled spindle without water running to it? Noticed fittings on top but no hoses.
Steve
Purchased a vise for finishing out back sides easier. Just a cheaper Shars.
So far seems to work well for what I need to do. Just need to make some proper clamps and a keying setup so i can add...
In the 30 years of using the misters in my own shop and at a job shop we never had a fog problem. We always ran them fairly low air or low on the coolant so as to not flood the air or machine.
When...
I have had my Trico for about 25 years Still going strong.
Finished up 3 more groups of brackets this afternoon.

It is Trico mist system. Not sure it is a required item. But let's it run without me babysitting.
Steve
Can barely see the mist.

I am cutting 6061 T-651 right now. Cutting with a kool mist mainly to keep chips cleared but adding just a small amount of coolant.
Cutting deep slots need to keep chips out to avoid recutting...
With a router need really shallow cuts. I ran a router on my machine for awhile and cutting aluminum was tough. The bearings are not all that great in most routers.
Steve
Could be a bad collet or bad spindle.
Are you using a router or spindle?
Steve
It is a carbide end mill.
Here is the part number but I think I got it on eBay.
1/4" Square End Mill Standard Length HTC 120-2250 2FL GP 30
What problems are you having?
Steve
For the perimeters 1/4" 2 Flute Carbide End mill 16,500RPM .060" DOC, 48 Inches per minute, Finish cut at full depth .375" .010 at 60 inches per minute.
About 12 minutes to run the perimeters.

Did some more aluminum machining today. Started working on some brackets and mounts for the laser cutter build.

Lots of fun!

I really have no idea what version I received. The paperwork and part numbers never made much sense. Guessing just general.
And yes these would be better than any round rail system.
Rail was mounted rigid on Dillion Force gage. Defelction was all in the car.
Ground finish was not near the quality of the THK. Much rougher finish.
If cost was no object THK would be my...
Did some load testing today.
1. With Rail clamped in place and a 20 pound load applied 75mm off center inline with rail.
- .002 Deflection with 20 pound load
2. With Rail Clamped in...
Did a some testing today on the new rails and cars.
I suspected the rails may not have been heat treated to the same specs as a THK rail.
Rails had lots of nicks and dings from the improper...

Yes, on my CNC router I did order the blank t nuts and drilled the pattern in it.
I am now working on a laser cutter with smaller extrusions. Original plan was to use the long blank t nuts...
The package arrived today.
Packaging could have been better. They really need to have something to prevent bending the rails most people package with wood slats.
They did include the hole plugs...
Quick update.
Order was placed on Tuesday 1/20
Order shipped Friday 1/23
Due to arrive by 1/30
Shipping was quicker than I expected. I had heard Aliexpress ordering took longer to ship.

Yes, contact Chai, also you will get a better price when contacting directly.

You have a lot of connections that need to be tight to keep backlash at bay.
Belts, rack and pinion and your linear rails. Looks like all of them are controlled by pulling tight at setup and...
Agree with Ger21. Need to fix the mechanical problem, do not try to compensate with software.
Steve
If you post some pics of the drive system we might be able to help.
If you are seeing some movement from one side and not the other, that will create some bad geometry.
Steve
Looks like there is some backlash somewhere. Appears to be a lot.
Backlash can repeat the results on same program.
What type drive system do you have?
Ball screws? Rack and pinion? Other?

If steppers are stalling or couplings slipping.
Running same code back to back will show that your zero has moved.
If the second pass retraces its steps exactly then some thing else is going on....
I decided to get a set of these and see what they look like. At almost 1/3 the cost it was hard to pass up. Will report back once I have them in hand and check them out.
Steve
Wow those are good prices. Not sure of the quality but I have a laser cutter in design and may need to try these out. May be perfect for that.
Steve
Yes, I have 2 zones. Both have a manifold and I have been just disconnecting the piping when I only needed one zone. Thought about adding a valve but have decided to just plug the holes using SHCS...
