I run my DM4400 spindle motors with the Bardac (Sprint) 3600XRi.
Uses all amps the drive can put out.
Perfect rpm control and it runs warm but not hot.
Just buying a drive vs. trying to jam a new...
Looks like I have five CAT30 tool holders left.
Two Sanvik C8 collet chucks. Super high precision. Great for holding edge finders and other measuring devices.
Two Lyndex end mill holders. One 5/8"...
Yeah, they are all gone.
You can get new ones from Retention Knob Supply.
Almost $30 each though.
Timothy
I sold most of the CAT30 tool holders and all of the pull studs.
Let me dig around and see what I have left.

It's been really quiet here for the last while.
As for the software, very few have later model Dyna's.
I wish I could help but all of mine have been retrofitted with new controls.
You would...
Both the VF1 and the VF have the same exterior dimensions.
Total operating height required is 110" but I would recommend a little more than that.
Shipping height is 101" though.
After squeezing it...
Hi Martin!
Yes, the bigger tools cause massive amounts of fretting and even pull out if you take a big enough bite.
There is definitely a problem with the amount of clamping force available...
Recommended torque on the pull studs is 25 to 35 ft/lbs. I use the lower number.
I also put anti seize on the threads and face. Makes it real easy for switching them out later.
I haven't counted...
Yes.
You'll always spend too much on tooling. :)
I have attached the DM pull stud drawing for you.

Thanks for the reply bishb25,
I did change a few setting within BobCAD but I didn't see any differences when running the part.
I have another batch coming up in a few weeks so I'll try G187 and...
I'm using BobCad/CAM Ver30 pro.
And this job has a disclose agreement attached to it.
Although I might be able to clip out a section...
Which format is best for you?
Timothy
I rotated the part and ran a few different versions.
The marks moved with the part to the new location.
First ball end mill was in a side lock tool holder.
Second one is in an ER20 collet.
I'm...
No high speed machining.
A G187 seems like it's just a G09 but for the whole program.
Setting 85 is set to 0.005"
I switched out the cutter for a new super high quality one and even put it in a...
Yeah, now I remember.
There was something just like that on my TL-1.
Sold it a year and a half ago though.
The bracket bolted to the side of the control panel and that irritating safety switch...
I don't think a G09 will help.
I added a small 5 thou radius in all the tight corners so the cutter wouldn't have to stop and it still makes those lines.
I reduced rpm and cut the feed rate in...
I'm machining some cool 3d parts and some sections have odd cutter marks.
It's as if the ball nose end mill is cutting at slightly different depths.
You can see them but barely feel them with your...
I have something like that on my VF0E.
It was for hanging the washdown hose on the back of the machine.
Yours is a bit smaller so I'd say it's for hanging your air line blow gun on.
Where is it...
It's a 1.375" hole 13" deep. With a flat bottom.
I would need a huge VMC to fit that in so I was thinking HMC.
Make sure the tool clears the work and let the back end stick out a bit.
Sorta hoping...
I'm quoting on some new work and one of the operations is deep hole drilling.
I can't fit it into my VF2 so I was looking at buying a HAAS HMC of some sort to do the job.
Perhaps an EC-400 or...
I installed a floppy to USB emulator in my HAAS Mini Mill and my VF-0E.
Both were plug and play and are still working perfect today.
You just have to buy a bunch of smaller USB sticks ($2 each) so...
Here are some pics of my set up.
Basically original other than I've wired the lube pump directly into the 115vac so it runs all the time.
If you need close ups or other angles, just let me know.
...
I have most of that info.
Gimme a day to find it and take some pics...
Timothy
I didn't see this thread till now...
Timothy
I think I found most of them now.
I have 7 new BT30 pulls studs and 10 used ones for sale.
Still have the CAT30 tools holder too.
Timothy
Problem sorted out.
As mactek54 suggested, I installed a new 60amp breaker with a 6ga cable to the mini mill.
I unboxed the spindle drive as I hadn't shipped it out yet and wired it back in.
The...
I also have this selection of CAT30 tool holders.
All Kennametal.
Definitely used but still have lots of life in them.
No pull studs.
413406
One 3/4" end mill holder
Two 5/8" end mill...
Set of five(5) Kennametal CAT30 DA180 collet chucks with a brand new 9 piece collet set.
Also included is five new pull studs for Dyna Mechtronics machines and a spare nut.
Excellent shape, just...
This is something other than electrical supply.
I've been running this mill for over a year with no blown breakers or any other problems.
The spindle fault is popping up within micro seconds of a...
Funny you should ask that.
Breaker supplying the Mini Mill is a 40 amp three pole breaker. One pole unused. 240vac supply voltage.
Originally I had a 10/3 (6 strand) tek cable running the 20ft to...
