That just what surfcam does from my experience.
I change all my climbing moves to conventional (and vice versa) before I mirror my programs.
Ramping should help as Zenbot pointed out.
If that is not possible maybe you could try to bump up your feed rates.

The haas tool management feature will use new tools after it runs X amount of parts (or uses the tool for X amount of hours). So you load all the tools you need, and tell the machine when to start...
I like to use ball endmills, 3/64" is my tool of choice.
I typicaly engrave at 6000rpm and about 5-10ipm going about .005" deep.
I also use air to cool my parts.
I use double sided tape a lot; Denatured alcohol will help you remove your parts easily and without residue.
Permacel makes our tape, it is paper based.
I work mostly with plastics.
We had the same alarm on our VF-5, it turned out to be our ballscrew assembly.

I have had similar problems with engraveing in surfcam.
I found that if you select the text/numbers useing the chain option it works best.
For the number six I select the top 'tail' then the round...
I agree, we have a TM2 and it throws chips all over the shop floor.
Very messy, unsafe, and unprofessional IMO.
It also has the hand wheels, but I have no idea why.
