the mc433 board doesn't seem to drive steppers past the size of nema 17 ....at least I can't
nope ... not dead... just real quiet , lol
thanks for the pdf file, still have three of these
I have not been able to find any specs on these old drivers, would like to find max voltage in and ROI current set resistor chart..
thanks
you could try speed 800 to 1100, timing 4 to 7, 7 is hotter, and scan by line has better reseloution than scan by Z
the side handle that moves the entire head up and down drives on the the vertical rack, you have to loosen the two? clamp bolts that squeeze the head tight onto the round vertical column .... the...
in post two, use the diagram, and an ohm meter to find out internal wiring ... the center two would not be used with a four wire output controller
it's on a slide .. in and out on a spline .. one way is free, other is active
it's been a while since i worked with steppers.... but..
as far as i remember.. steppers generate less torque the faster they turn, eventually not enough power to turn..
i tried more voltage /...
might be easier to pick up an integrated voltage regulator, like a 7812, small size, and pop it onto a small heat sink... cheap and readily available, no calculations required...:)
lots of things will make a low cost acme threaded rod whip...
If you can tension the rod in 'extension' it may help a little, compression will make it worse..
alignment of the nut is pretty...
d/l... from the link..again
first time showed hinklegcode.h not found, same second time..??
the .exe doesn't run for me, much less any error messages..
running ulp from within eagle gives missing...
does your software have some sort of 'intelligence, where ,say if you started with the largest bit size, that it would know where material was already removed, and save time by not having to 'remill'...
'it will not last for ever without regeneration or replacement.'
definitely true, in my case i get a fairly long life out of a bag by using a very fine weave bag that allows the moisture to...
'regeneration' isn't required with calcium chloride...not the same as silica beads or gel..it will saturate and drip off...
I've had the same bag in a small area that I store firearms in..
over...
figure out the overall 'inches' to be cut ,[around the periphery of the letter] divide by your ipm cutting rate, there's your 'machine time', then add your 'stock change time' at your rates...??...
older pc systems had mounts that held the 'side' of a board, and installed into a hole in the chassis, could also be glued into place..
free by the handful at most computer repair shops...:)
...
If you don't mind the idea of hanging a bag under / inside an equipment cover, a much less expensive alternative is calcium chloride.. it's a dry power that will absorb moisture out of the air, and...
>>.... why the hell are gecko drives so much freaking money? Is there a >>technical reason?
they work out of the box...
they do what they're supposed to do...'as advertised'

I have a couple of those, not currently using, but worked well before..
..apparantly.. I have an older version, with the autorun feature, they were very good at getting a copy of the manual to me...
sure, I align to a set reference plate, others use 'find zero' type of functions...
some just make up their own set screw collars, and use an indexing station..
on a wood router it's not that big...
Looked and searched here, but didn't find anything that seemed to fit...
anyways...
My question, is interactive data entry possible???
application is plasma table,
Mach3 control software..

sold a lightly used 1720 to a friend about 3 years ago, he gave me $650 for it, what I had paid a few years before that...
he was happy with the price..:)
I was even able to add the extra $300 that...
looks the same as the one here in the garage...
just a vertical depth indicator....and sometimes used as a limit stop...
should be ok to remove, don't see why not...???
..enjoy..
you could always try a 'sample' reform by using a machined insert to support the inside of the tip, and lightly peening the top surface to deform and shrink the opening...if it's copper it will...
picture should show better than I can probably describe...
cheapy taiwan supply, 24v 20a with the adjustment screw up to around 27v, steppers are 1.4v/8a, so gecko's are set around 6.5a..

everybody has differing ideas of what is 'ideal' for an electronics enclosure...
on my cheapy plasma table, I used a surplus electrical disconnector enclosure..

so far three replies...of the three, not one has actually tried the driver board, and a quick look shows they left positive feedback...just as I did, must be ok, it's from a...
if you just want to make a couple of cooler plates, you 'probably' can use a cheapy drill press...
them two main drawbacks to the drill press are..
