Hello,
Final version is here;
412512
and it's been in working status since the date of build, for over 3 yrs without any trouble.
You can omit final optocoupler if board has opto-coupled...
oh!!!!
Found that option, and thanks for your help!!!!!!!!
I really appreciate :)

kevin
Tks for the pointing this out and I appreciate the linked document. very helpful.
It still is a mystery to me why SC makes many segmented G0 moves in sim5x mode. Any idea?

Kevin
self-answering....
this is very annoying.
picture says it all...
unchecked, and it again makes many small g0 segments
checked, and I can get only 2 lines.
this apparently isn't from post...
Okay, I tried to modify another, completely different post processor(original is Integrex which syntax is very close to generic fanuc) and the result is same.
With approach/retract, it makes jerky...
Hello,
I really need some light on this trouble, please.
I am trying to make my rotary axis more useful,
searched and installed several different version of post processor for mach3 (or...
I made a brief video on how to make a custom simulation-machine.
No special tool is required, except to build a graphical model itself.
I built my machine in solidworks so I had all files for my...
hey guyz,
I do not fully understand the grammar behind vmid and xml,
I think it seems successful to build a gantry-router version of virtual machine for simulation purpose.

mine is from this company

hollow-type harmonic series 20-50 series from HD systems in Japan.

hello forks,
been a long time to be here.
Today I finished building my new rotary axis so I am here to share the joy with you guyz :p
build log part 1 (link corrected, sorry for the trouble)...
This is fine. Factory recommendation is also overall-shielded-cables. I have no problem using overall-shielded twisted-pair.
My suspicion is that some of soldering might have gone bad or...
Regardless of servo settings, it should spin through SigmaWin+ with no problem.
PC jogging does not need pulse/sign so CN1 connector is irrelevant.
Though you believe cables between motor and amp...
I just saw that I wrote something wrong.
4/5/6=encoder V+, not 24V. I guess it is 5V.
Kevin
Good to know you got the right mains for the servos.
And I think this is pretty positive situation that every different motor/amp shows same symptom,
which in my thinking servos are not terribly...

One thing just hit me.
Your location seems to be somewhere in Canada.
What is your mains voltage there? I guess it would be 110V like US??
The servo amplifier SGDA-02AP is for 220V...
Ahhh I see.
I had a faulty motor for Z axis, SGMAS-01 series, encoder part was bad and that showed exactly same symptom. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and error... and the message was...
And this is my setup for encoder reading-Mach3
Two SN75175N, quad line receiver chips with termination resistors
Each chip can handle 2 axis so all 4 axis encoder can be read, enough for me,...
Hi,
This Sigma-1 series does not have status window so it is not possible to catch the details without having RS-232 cable.
I made mine but still I can't do autotuning because I don't have the...

Probing becomes fun now with new tools!! Music? I don't remember. Youtube suggests BGM and I just pick one from the list. haha. They are free to use ones ;p

I will post...
Hey Russ,
I tried dry cutting some years ago but results were very bad, I never cut dry afterwards and that's why my CNC bed is made of aluminium to use cutting fluid - though minimal use....
Thanks Russ,
Close-up of cut-surface is not quite good especially the slot-surface.
Lots of chatters, because of 1 path/multi layer, but... who cares surface smoothness from a dust shoe?
I...
Hi Russ,
I remember what you mentioned.
I also once looked at that one, way too much expensive for me to order one. haha
It is done now, quite late due to national holidays and several other...
Russ,
Thanks for the advice.
All cables are shielded properly from the beginning ;)
I have been busy designing a new dust hood for this baby.
I think performance test is finished. After putting...
Hey Russ,
That's absolutely OK!
My assembly is 99% finished.
Fine-alignment is necessary for Z-axis only, all other axis are stay-tuned and square in very good condition and I think Yaskawa's...
Russ,
wait a moment...
I don't understand what made you to think I lost my... who... my bro???????
there seems to be a great misunderstanding..
but I appreciate you took care of my.. um.......
Thanks Russ for your encouraging comment,
I wish my dark and painful period can be compensated with this new machine.
I know what you mean by metal spiral thing. Probably conical spring covers...
Thanks,
I finished all 3 axis setup and added some accessories.
I still have to go a little further but it might be good to show for now.
Max speed is reduced just a little bit, from...
Hello CNC people out there,
I've been asking questions & questions here in CNCZone, and
I think I can now show you most of my progress at this moment.
This project started quite long before...
