Easy to solve in three simple Steps:
1.Open up Machine and Check EVERYTHING: make sure all the wires are connected properly, end switches, belt tension, bearings, lens alignment, add pressured...
I did experience exactly the same problems with mach 3 as bandura maker did, i lost a lot of molds / Tools to it and especially in the beginning when i couldnt figure out what was happening it was a...

Slide ? ;) i wasnt aware that ur supported rails already have threads for fixing them in the middle, mine didnt ( that makes it even easier ) and make sure u drill the holes through the 8020 a fair...
A big washer would solve that problem though, i would go for solution 3; u can unscrew the rail from the support and then drill and tap it.
Im not offended by it anyway, that was meant more as a tip in general, its always nice being asked if someone wants to use ur work for whatever purposes, sometimes i find it linked in the weirdest...

Thanks Crane, right now theres only one major design flaw left, as mentioned the y ballscrews are too long, but im gonna fix that in the next weeks :)
They dont exactly suck, if u use two blocks per rail and a two rail configuration for every axis they are good enough, especially if the machine is build from mdf or similar, have a look at my old...
no, that wont work for various reasons:
First the type of slider in ur drawin has a lot of play to the sides
