Update revival! Any progress on this one Soofle?
Did you use an off-the shelf replacement filter from Sentry Air or similar? Or some other product?
Very interested to hear about the...
Oddly, the Arrow relies on a "meat switch" evaluate the home position on startup. Why they couldn't add a simple prox switch is a mystery! You can add a prox switch pretty easily for your retrofit.
Well done Coop! Which setting was it and how did you access? I might do the same!
It's an option. You don't have to mess with the physical hardware, all you have to do is pulse the right inputs on the machine to trick it into thinking that the user opened and closed the door....
Do you have any free M codes you can use to trigger the door input with at the end of your program?
Hello all,
I didn't like the way that the coolant sump had the pump way out side the machine envelope. I wanted the right side of my machine to stay clear for floor space, so I chopped and welded 3...
Mike,
Makes sense! I don't want that one bit! I might hijack the TSC coolant valve solenoid and use the M27 to run through spindle air instead. I can cap the TSC feed just for extra safety.
Johnd,
I believe the one that i have is this one https://www.deublin.com/Products/1109-053-188 , but I will have to verify. I have thought about rebuilding! I called Deublin to get a quote on a...

Hello again everyone,
My machine "has" TSC and came with a crusty un-installed Deublin rotary union. It spins freely but I am skeptical of the condition of the seals due to the fact that it is no...
I found this picture on the interwebs that seems to show this ribbon cable. Is this it? Does it have a different pinout than a standard DB9 cable?

gwood,
I don't really see any suitable connectors for ribbon cables beside the one on the card mentioned previously. Can you point me in the direction of where it would connect in the picture below?...
Thank you for your replies maver1ck and gwood! It feels like we are getting somewhere. I definitely should have provided more info (and pictures) up front. I looked up the ribbon cable that gwood...
Hello again everyone! I just want to start this of saying my machine functions perfectly fine with the external mouse. As I get into learning the A2100 control, it becomes more and more obvious that...
Karl,
I believe with A2100 controls, you access the different offsets with H words or D words. A bit different from G-Code I am used to. Do you have the programming manual? I found one somewhere...
Quite a dusty machine! The second pic is after about 12 hours with simple green getting some of the caked on sawdust off the insides of the machine.

DJ,
Thanks for the tips! The previous owners had already converted to SSD before I bought it and gave me a box with 2 or 3 backups on spinny drives! They were very knowledgeable in the Cinci world,...
Uhhh ... turns out you hit it on the head! Just had to swap two wires on my input supply and everything spins the correct direction now! On to the next adventure! Thanks machinehop!
Oof! If this is my issue, I am going to feel quite dumb! Thanks machine.
Oooo good point machinehop! I haven't wired up the coolant pump yet but I will definitely swap the leads around on the input power and see if that does the trick.
I am a bit nervous to run the...
Hello all! Long time lurker, first time poster. I want to give a HUGE thanks to maver1ck, BBMNet, meckardt55, coop31, and the many others here that have posted some excellent information here and got...
Willy, I Have been using Slugger cutting fluid. Mostly because it's the only water soluble cutting lubricant I could find locally.
As for coolant/air and air only, this design already allows for...
Sounds like you aren't accounting for cutter deflection. The SX3 is not the most rigid of mills, even then, a 1/8" endmill is a spindly bit and you have to account for it's deflection when cutting. ...
Did you lift the mill by the head ?? :O
Engraving spindle mod - YouTube
Taking a video later today
Ooh slick idea on the attach, didn't know this forum supported that.
Anyway, anyone interested in reproducing this should increase the spindle clamp diameter by another .02" or so. I had to hand...
Hey dudes,
I made a little mod for my mill and thought someone else might find it useful. I have a Grizzly rotary grinder that I bought on sale for $30. The engraving on my SX3 was too slow with...
